Update on Patch 10.2 PTR - Forsaken Guard Armor Enhancement

October 04, 2023 2 minutes

Hey everyone, WowCarry here with some exciting news for all you World of Warcraft players! It seems like the Forsaken guards are in for a gear update in Patch 10.2. We've come across some new models on the PTR that include a cape, polearm, and pauldron. Even more interestingly, the cape still features the iconic banshee mask, which is a departure from the Forsaken's recent aesthetic changes.

Back in Patch 10.1.7, we stumbled upon some inventory icons that hinted at these new pieces. Alongside these icons, we also discovered the Forsaken Heritage Armor and some updates to the shields carried by the Royal Dreadguards. Now, in Patch 10.2, we've managed to datamine new cosmetics for the Darnassus Sentinels and Silvermoon City Guardians. These new cosmetic items are not only available for NPCs, but it looks like players may have the chance to obtain them as well.

The Forsaken Gear Update

Let's take a closer look at the new gear models we've found. Keep in mind that while we don't have any concrete evidence that these items will be obtainable by players, the presence of inventory icons strongly suggests that they will indeed be accessible.

  • The Forsaken Cape

The Forsaken cape is a sleek and stylish addition to their armor. It features the iconic banshee mask iconography, which sets it apart from the Forsaken's recent shift in design. This cape will undoubtedly make a statement and elevate the aesthetic of any Forsaken character.

  • The Forsaken Polearm

The new polearm we discovered is an impressive weapon that Forsaken guards will soon wield. With its intricate design and deadly sharpness, this polearm is sure to strike fear into the hearts of any who dare to cross paths with the Forsaken guardians.

  • The Forsaken Pauldron

Completing the set, the Forsaken pauldron adds an extra layer of protection to the guards' shoulders. Its robust construction and imposing appearance make it a formidable piece of armor. The pauldron perfectly embodies the Forsaken's relentless determination and readiness for battle.

Related In-Game Content

Aside from the gear updates, we've also come across some new cosmetics for the Darnassus Sentinels and Silvermoon City Guardians. These additions suggest that there will be some related in-game story content accompanying the NPC updates. It's always exciting to see Blizzard expand upon the game's lore and offer players new experiences to dive into.

Final Thoughts

As Patch 10.2 draws near, anticipation for the Forsaken gear update continues to build. While we're still unsure of how players will be able to obtain these new items, it's undeniably exciting to see the Forsaken guards getting a fresh look. We can't wait to see how these new models will fit into the game's storyline and what adventures await us in the future.
