Vault Raid Thresholds Reduced in Patch 10.2
Hey there, WoW gamers! We're excited to bring you the latest update on the Dragonflight Patch 10.2. With this update, there are some changes to the Great Vault thresholds, particularly with the introduction of Amirdrassil. Let's dive into the details!
Changes to Raid Rewards
In the previous Aberrus patch, unlocking raid reward choices required defeating 3, 5, or 7 Aberrus raid bosses. However, with the arrival of Amirdrassil, the requirements have been adjusted. To unlock the first vault reward in Patch 10.2, players will now need to defeat 2, 4, or 7 Amirdrassil raid bosses. This change makes it slightly easier for players to earn their first vault reward.
This adjustment is particularly beneficial for those who experienced issues with the previous threshold of 3/5/7. The previous system led to the sum of 3 + 7 being 10 instead of 9, which caused confusion and frustration among players. Additionally, players will now receive their first Mythic box at 2 instead of 3 Mythic bosses, providing an even better incentive for raid participation.
Mythic+ and PvP Unchanged
While raid rewards have experienced some changes, the thresholds for Mythic+ and PvP remain the same in Patch 10.2. To earn rewards in Mythic+ dungeons, players will still need to complete 1, 4, or 8 dungeons, while earning PvP rewards will require accumulating 1250, 2500, or 5000 Honor points.
However, Morgan Day, Blizzard Assistant Game Director, and Patrick Scarborough, Senior Game Designer, recently discussed increasing the availability of Mythic+ rewards in an interview with MrGM. They mentioned that Heroic, Timewalking, and Mythic+0 dungeons will also populate the Great Vault, providing more opportunities for players to unlock reward slots.
Timewalking Dungeons and Seasonal Rewards
While Timewalking dungeons can now be used to unlock reward slots in the Great Vault, the developers have made it clear that the Seasonal rewards will remain the same. This means that players who choose to tackle lower difficulty content, including weekly quests like "A Frozen Path Through Time," will still be able to earn their weekly rewards.
