Upon arriving in Valdrakken, we are introduced to the Netherwing envoy, Mordenaku, their prince. If we have previously worked with the Netherwing in Outland, Mordenaku will remember us. Wrathion convinces Vyranoth, a dragon from Valdrakken, to join the cause, and together, they negotiate with Mordenaku to secure the Netherwing's assistance.

Establishing a New Home

With the Netherwing on board, Wrathion turns his attention to providing a proper home for them in the Dragon Isles. The quest "A Dragon's Eye View" sends us to caves overlooking the Temporal Conflux, where we relocate spiders instead of killing them to clear the cavern for the Netherwing's settle. In the next quest, "Cavern Clearing", we ensure the safety of the Netherwing eggs by speaking with Mother Elion, the Black Dragonflight eggtender, at the Ruby Lifeshrine.

During this time, Wrathion and Mordenaku bond over their shared experiences of being altered before hatching. It is revealed that the Netherwing and the Black Dragonflight share a deeper understanding of their altered origins, although they have developed their own distinct cultures.

Once the snacks are delivered, and Mother Elion is instructed on how to care for the Netherwing whelps, we return to the Roasted Ram Inn in Valdrakken for some well-deserved rest in the quest "Home in Time for Tea". Here, we can chat with Mordenaku and learn about his experiences in Outland and even discuss events from Legion.

Recruiting the Thorignir

With the Netherwing settled, Wrathion sets his sights on another potential ally - the Thorignir, the Storm Dragons from Stormheim. In the quest "The Thorignir", we learn about the Thorignir's history and their less-than-ideal relationship with Odyn, the creator of the Valarjar. Vyranoth expresses her growing distaste for Odyn and his treatment of the Storm Dragons.

Our mission is to confront Odyn and free the Thorignir from his control. In the quest "Dragon Keeping", we venture into the Halls of Valor, face off against Odyn's enforcers, and eventually confront Odyn himself with the help of Vyranoth. It becomes clear that Vyranoth holds great disdain for Odyn's hypocrisy and his treatment of dragons as mere servants.

A Confrontation with Odyn

As the battle against Odyn intensifies, Vyranoth vehemently confronts Odyn, exposing his cowardice, hypocrisy, and mistreatment of the Storm Dragons. Wrathion is taken aback by Vyranoth's explosive response but acknowledges her justifiable anger towards Odyn.

Ultimately, the questline concludes with a cutscene at Amirdrassil, where we see both the Netherwing and the Thorignir ready to defend the world tree alongside Wrathion and Vyranoth.
