April 5th Hotfixes: Season of Discovery - Improvements to Wild Leather Vest and Way of the Weaponsmith

April 06, 2024 4 minutes

Greetings adventurers!

Today, we have some exciting updates to share with you regarding the latest hotfixes for Season of Discovery in the fantastical world of Azeroth. Blizzard has been hard at work addressing some key issues that have been brought to their attention. Let's dive right in!

Wild Leather Vest and Way of the Weaponsmith Fixes

One of the main highlights of the hotfixes is the resolution of issues surrounding the Leatherworking quests - Wild Leather Vest and The Way of the Weaponsmith. Players encountered certain difficulties during these quests, but fear not! Blizzard has listened to your feedback and made the necessary adjustments. Now, all adventurers can complete these quests smoothly, without any hiccups.

It's worth noting that The Rugged Traveler will now despawn if more than two players enter the quest area. This ensures a fair and balanced experience for all participants, creating an environment where players can enjoy the quest without overcrowding or excessive competition.

Arathi Basin Reputation Quest Changes

Season of Discovery also brings good news for level 50 players who have achieved Exalted reputation with Arathi Basin factions. Previously, only level 60 players were able to access certain battleground quests. However, Blizzard has made a modification that allows level 50 players with Exalted reputation to complete these quests, granting them the prestigious Exalted reputation tabards. This change expands the opportunities for lower-level adventurers to engage in exciting battleground activities and reap the rewards of their hard work.

Significant Adjustments to The Sunken Temple

The Sunken Temple has always been a challenging raid, pushing the limits of even the most skilled adventurers. However, Blizzard recognized that some adjustments were necessary to ensure a balanced and accessible experience for all players. Hence, they have implemented changes to the health values of both trash mobs and bosses within The Sunken Temple.

If you want to experience these much-needed health adjustments, you will need to soft reset your instance. Please note that this may cause some inconvenience, but Blizzard assures us that it is necessary for the changes to take effect.

  • Developer's Note

Blizzard takes player feedback seriously and believes in providing the best possible gaming experience. In the case of The Sunken Temple, the developers had initial concerns about player power going into Phase 3. To address this, they initially tuned the enemy health on the higher end. However, upon observing player progression, they realized that they aimed too high, making the content overly challenging.

Therefore, the recent hotfixes have lowered the health of all enemies and bosses within The Sunken Temple, ensuring a more balanced and enjoyable raid experience for adventurers of all levels. Be assured that Blizzard will keep a close eye on the progress and continue making adjustments as needed to maintain an optimal gaming environment.

Additionally, Blizzard has rectified an issue where bosses Dreamscythe and Weaver would occasionally fail to spawn. If you were affected by this issue, you may need to leave the instance and Reset All Instances to see the fix take effect.

Nightmare Incursions Updates

In the realm of Nightmare Incursions, Blizzard has made some notable changes to enhance the overall gameplay experience. Quartermasters within Nightmare Incursion areas can now repair your gear, saving you the trouble of finding alternative solutions for your equipment maintenance.

Furthermore, quest objects in the Nightmare Incursions no longer have a cast time to open, allowing for a more seamless and immersive questing experience. This change reduces any potential delays and ensures that you can swiftly progress through your adventures without unnecessary interruptions.

In terms of combat adjustments, the damaging effects of Drakes' Corrosive Acid Breath have been brought to a more reasonable level. This tweak ensures that the dragons coming to the aid of Nightmare Incursions do not pose an overwhelming threat to players.

Moreover, the damage and cast time of Satyrs' Plagued Shot have been rebalanced. The damage has been reduced, and the cast time has been increased, creating a more fair and manageable encounter. The ability now also has a minimum range, similar to ranged abilities of hunters.

Lastly, Blizzard has made changes to the rewards for elite missions within Nightmare Incursions. The total gold rewards for these missions have been reduced by approximately 30%. While this may seem like a decrease in immediate wealth, it ensures a more balanced economy and prevents excessive inflation within the realm of Azeroth.

  • In Summary

The Season of Discovery hotfixes have brought significant improvements to various aspects of the game. The fixes to Wild Leather Vest and Way of the Weaponsmith quests now offer a smoother progression for Leatherworking specialists. The changes to the Arathi Basin reputation quests allow more players to earn their Exalted reputation tabards and participate in exciting battleground activities. The adjustments to The Sunken Temple address concerns about difficulty and ensure a more accessible experience for raiders. Lastly, the updates in Nightmare Incursions enhance overall gameplay and create a more enjoyable environment for adventurers.

As always, Blizzard remains committed to providing the best possible gaming experience in the world of Azeroth. They value player feedback and will continue to make adjustments and improvements as necessary. So, gear up, gather your allies, and embark on new adventures in this ever-evolving realm of magic and grandeur!
