With the latest patch in WoW Classic PTR, players are anticipating the release of new Runes in Phase 2 of the Season of Discovery. As the datamining process unfolds, we get a glimpse into the new abilities and enhancements that will be available to warriors, paladins, hunters, rogues, mages, warlocks, and druids. Let's take a closer look at some of these exciting Runes!

Warrior Runes

  • Blood Surge Rune

The Blood Surge Rune allows warriors to engrave their belt with this powerful ability. With a 30% chance, Heroic Strike, Bloodthirst, and Whirlwind will make the next Slam instant and cost no Rage within 15 seconds. This improvement in efficiency and speed enhances the warrior's offensive capabilities, giving them a strategic advantage in battle.

  • Focused Rage Rune

By engraving their belt with the Focused Rage Rune, warriors can reduce the Rage cost of their offensive abilities by 3. This resource management enhancement allows warriors to unleash their devastating attacks more frequently, maximizing their damage potential.

  • Precision Timing Rune

Engraving the Precision Timing Rune onto their belt grants warriors the ability to make Slam instant but with a 6-second cooldown. This improved timing ensures that Slam can be used effectively and efficiently, contributing to the warrior's overall combat prowess.

Paladin Runes

  • Enlightened Judgements Rune

The Enlightened Judgements Rune extends the range of the Paladin's Judgement by 30 yards and increases their spell hit with all spells by 17%. This increased range and hit chance allows paladins to unleash powerful spells from a safer distance, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in their attacks.

  • Infusion of Light Rune

By engraving their belt with the Infusion of Light Rune, paladins can increase the damage done by their Holy Shock by 20%. Additionally, damaging critical strikes with Holy Shock reset the cooldowns on Holy Shock and Exorcism and refund the cost of Holy Shock. This synergy between abilities allows paladins to chain their attacks together, maximizing their damage output.

  • Sheath of Light Rune

The Sheath of Light Rune empowers paladins to increase their spell power when dealing damage with their melee weapon. With each critical healing spell, the target is healed for 60% of the healed amount over 12 seconds. This rune enhances the paladin's healing capabilities while also providing a bonus to their spell power, making them a formidable force on the battlefield.

Hunter Runes

  • Aspect of the Viper Rune

The Aspect of the Viper Rune allows hunters to take on the aspect of the viper, regenerating mana from ranged and melee auto attacks. Although total damage done is reduced by 10%, hunters gain 10% of their maximum mana every 3 seconds. This rune enables hunters to maintain their mana reserves, ensuring sustained damage output during prolonged encounters.

  • Expose Weakness Rune

By engraving their belt with the Expose Weakness Rune, hunters can increase their attack power by 40% of their current Agility for 7 seconds whenever they score melee or ranged critical strikes. This rune exploits the vulnerabilities of their enemies, boosting the hunter's damage potential during critical moments.

  • Melee Specialist Rune

The Melee Specialist Rune enhances the hunter's melee capabilities. The cooldown on Raptor Strike is reduced to 3 seconds, making it instant. Mongoose Bite no longer has a cooldown, and Raptor Strike has a 30% chance to not trigger its cooldown on each attack. These improvements in melee abilities enable hunters to excel in close-quarters combat.

Rogue Runes

  • Poisoned Knife Rune

Rogues can engrave their belt with the Poisoned Knife Rune, allowing them to throw their off-hand weapon instantly, dealing normal off-hand weapon damage. With a 100% chance to apply the poison from the off-hand weapon to the target, this rune rewards rogues with a combo point for every successful attack using Poisoned Knife.

  • Shadowstep Rune

The Shadowstep Rune empowers rogues to step through the shadows and reappear behind their enemy. Additionally, it increases movement speed by 70% for 3 seconds. This ability gives rogues the advantage of surprise in combat, allowing them to strike swiftly and evade danger.

  • Shuriken Toss Rune

Engraving their belt with the Shuriken Toss Rune enables rogues to throw a shuriken at their enemy, dealing damage equal to 25% of their Attack Power. The shuriken also strikes up to 4 additional nearby targets, further spreading the rogue's damage across multiple foes.

Mage Runes

  • Frostfire Bolt Rune

The Frostfire Bolt Rune empowers mages to launch a bolt of frostfire at their enemy. This bolt causes damage, slows the enemy's movement speed by 40%, and applies additional frostfire damage over 9 seconds. With Frostfire Bolt, mages have a versatile spell that combines both frost and fire elements, providing them with increased flexibility in combat.

  • Hot Streak Rune

Mages can engrave their belt with the Hot Streak Rune to trigger instant cast Pyroblast spells. By scoring 2 non-periodic spell criticals in a row using specific spells like Fireball, Fire Blast, Scorch, or Living Bomb, mages can unleash a powerful Pyroblast without any casting time delays.

  • Missile Barrage Rune

The Missile Barrage Rune enhances the mage's Arcane Blast, Fireball, and Frostbolt spells. With a chance to reduce the channeled duration of Arcane Missiles by 50% and reduce its mana cost by 100%, this rune increases the mage's spellcasting speed and efficiency.

Warlock Runes

  • Grimoire of Synergy Rune

With the Grimoire of Synergy Rune, warlocks can recite from a dark tome, granting damage done by themselves or their summoned demon a 5% chance to increase the damage done by the other by 5% for 15 seconds. This synergistic relationship between the warlock and their demon companion enhances their offensive capabilities, wreaking havoc upon their enemies.

  • Invocation Rune

By engraving their belt with the Invocation Rune, warlocks can refresh Corruption, Immolate, Curse of Agony, or Siphon Life when these spells have less than 6 seconds remaining duration. This refresh causes instant damage to the target equal to one period of the periodic damage. With this rune, warlocks have a reliable source of burst damage at their disposal.

  • Shadow and Flame Rune

The Shadow and Flame Rune empowers warlocks to increase their Fire and Shadow damage done by 10% for 10 seconds whenever they score critical strikes with spells of these types. This increase in damage output makes warlocks a formidable adversary, capable of melting their enemies with devastating spellcasting.

Druid Runes

  • Berserk Rune

Engraving their belt with the Berserk Rune allows druids to activate this ability, granting various benefits depending on their current form. For Bear Form, Mangle hits up to 3 targets and has no cooldown, while the energy cost of all Cat Form abilities is reduced by 50%. Lasting for 15 seconds, this rune enhances the druid's form-specific attacks and abilities.

  • Eclipse Rune

The Eclipse Rune empowers druids with the unique ability to enhance their Starfire and Wrath spells. Starfire increases the critical strike chance of the next two Wraths, and Wrath increases the critical strike chance of the next Starfire. This interplay between spells ensures that druids can unleash devastating critical strikes, maximizing their damage potential.

  • Nourish Rune

By engraving their belt with the Nourish Rune, druids can enhance their healing capabilities. Nourish heals a friendly target and provides additional healing when there are active rejuvenation, regrowth, lifebloom, or wild growth effects on the target. This rune allows druids to efficiently heal targets, especially those already benefiting from their healing-over-time spells.
