October 24, 2023 3 minutes

The Wrath of the Lich King Classic PTR has received an exciting update with Patch 3.4.3 Build 51831. This latest patch introduces two new mount models, namely the Magic Rooster and the Blazing Hippogryph. These mounts were previously only available as TCG Loot Cards in 2009 and 2010. However, players on the Taiwan Realms can now take advantage of a special promotion. By purchasing 90 days of game time, they will be rewarded with the coveted Magic Rooster mount.

New Mounts Available

  • Magic Rooster

The Magic Rooster is a unique and highly sought-after mount that is now accessible to players on Taiwan Wrath Classic Realms. This mount can be summoned and dismissed, allowing players to ride on a fast and stylish rooster. The Magic Rooster model has a model ID of 29344 and is a ground mount.

  • Blazing Hippogryph

Another exciting addition to the Patch 3.4.3 Build 51831 is the Blazing Hippogryph. This majestic mount is also available to players on Taiwan Wrath Classic Realms. With a model ID of 31803, the Blazing Hippogryph can be summoned and dismissed. It provides players with a rideable hippogryph that changes its appearance depending on the player's Riding skill. This mount has been updated from a Ground mount to a Flying mount.

Talents and Glyphs

  • Balance Druid

For Balance Druids, there is a new Glyph (1) available. This Glyph enhances the Omen of Clarity talent, increasing its trigger chance to 100% when successfully casting Faerie Fire (Feral). However, it comes with a penalty of reducing all physical damage you deal by 5%. It's important to note that this talent does not trigger on players or player-controlled pets.

  • Discipline and Holy Priests

Both Discipline and Holy Priests have new talents available to them. These talents offer new ways to customize their playstyle and enhance their abilities in combat. Shadow Priests also have a set of unique talents specific to their specialization.

Spells and Abilities

  • Poisoned Weapons

Rogues have a new ability called Poisoned Weapons. This ability allows them to coat their weapons with a deadly poison that lasts for 1 hour. Each strike has a 20% chance of poisoning the enemy, instantly inflicting Nature damage. The amount of damage inflicted is calculated based on the Rogue's Attack Power.

  • Bone Spike

New to the Death Knight class is the Bone Spike ability. This devastating attack hurls a massive bone spike, impaling any enemies in its path. The damage done by this ability is increased by 100%. Additionally, the Death Knight gains a temporary boost to their health and all spells become instant and free of cost. They also experience a significant increase in melee and ranged attack speed.

  • Damage Reduction and Modifiers

Several spells and abilities now apply modifiers to damage taken. These modifiers decrease the damage taken by a percentage, effectively reducing the overall damage received. This can be highly beneficial in combat scenarios and adds a new layer of tactical gameplay.

New Mount Variations

  • Magical Broom

In addition to the Magic Rooster and the Blazing Hippogryph, there are other mount variations available to players. One such mount is the Magical Broom. This peculiar rideable broomstick changes its appearance depending on the player's Riding skill and location.

  • Swift Carpets

Players with a skill level of 450 in tailoring can now craft and ride Swift Carpets. These rugs are incredibly fast and can be summoned and dismissed at will. There are three different variations available: Swift Mooncloth Carpet, Swift Shadoweave Carpet, and Swift Spellfire Carpet. Each carpet has been updated to a Ground mount from a Flying mount, providing a unique and stylish means of transportation.
