Blizzard has just released information about two highly anticipated public events in the Emerald Dream zone: Superblooms and Emerald Bounties. These events promise to bring new challenges and rewards to players, allowing them to dive deeper into the magical and vibrant world of Azeroth.

Superblooms: The Epic Ritual of Life

In this patch, Blizzard introduces a brand new major public scenario event called Superblooms. Players will embark on a thrilling journey alongside the Ancient of Life, Sprucecrown, as he begins a ritual to bloom life all around Amirdrassil, the budding world tree. Throughout this event, players will assist Sprucecrown by completing various tasks like watering flowers and pulling weeds. However, danger lurks as the Primalists will not stand idly by, eager to disrupt the ritual and halt the tree's empowerment.

The Superbloom event starts at the beginning of each hour, offering players multiple opportunities to immerse themselves in this magical quest.

• The Power of Dreamfruit

As Sprucecrown performs his ritual, some trees will sprout large Dreamfruit. These rare and powerful fruits grant players incredible abilities to aid them throughout the event and other adventures within the Emerald Dream zone.

At the start, players can only see and obtain one Dreamfruit, enabling them to access a single power. However, as players progress in their renown with the Dream Wardens, their insights into the Dream's mysteries will expand, allowing them to see up to four Dreamfruit and benefit from their corresponding powers. Each Dreamfruit offers a unique set of blessings, ranging from combat-enhancing abilities to those that directly influence the progress of the Superbloom. Mix and match the power of the Dreamfruit to create exciting combinations and maximize your effectiveness in the event.

• Bloom Quality: Unlock Greater Rewards

Blizzard has introduced a new reward structure for public events in Patch 10.2. During the Superbloom, players will earn "Bloom", which fills up a bar at the top of the screen. On their first completion each week, players will receive a main reward for the Superbloom, regardless of the amount of Bloom gathered. However, higher qualities of Bloom will unlock additional rewards on top of that.

The main impact of Bloom Quality lies in the strength of the next public event, called the Emerald Frenzy, which is closely tied to the Emerald Bounty.

The Emerald Bounty: Explore Micro Events

As part of the Guardians of the Dream patch, Blizzard has introduced the Emerald Bounty, a series of captivating micro events triggered by players across the Emerald Dream zone. This feature is divided into two parts: The Emerald Frenzy and Planting Dreamseeds.

• The Emerald Frenzy: Harness the Power of Life Energies

Directly after the Superbloom, a random area within the zone will become infused with life energies for a limited time, leading to a frenzied state among its wildlife. Enemies will grow more powerful, but they will also drop greater quantities of the valuable currency called Emerald Dewdrops. The amount of Dewdrops dropped by enemies will increase based on the Bloom Quality achieved during the previous Superbloom.

• Planting Dreamseeds to Reap Rewards

While exploring the Emerald Dream, players will come across small patches of dirt, as well as discover Dreamseeds throughout their adventures. By planting a Dreamseed in any patch of dirt, players initiate an Emerald Bounty event. The Dreamseed will start growing, and players can contribute Emerald Dewdrops or even additional Dreamseeds to help nurture its growth. After a few minutes, the plant will complete its growth cycle and reward those who assisted in its development.

Superbloom - Play with the Blues

Exciting news for those who can't wait to dive into the Superbloom event! Blizzard is hosting a special playtest session on Friday, September 22, starting at 4:00 p.m. PDT on the Iridikron PTR realm. During this playtest, players will have the opportunity to join members of the World of Warcraft development team and experience the new Superbloom public events firsthand.

During the Superbloom playtest, players will accompany the Ancient of Life, Sprucecrown, as he performs the empowering ritual for Amirdrassil. Players will assist Sprucecrown by completing various tasks, such as watering flowers and removing weeds, while fending off Primalists who seek to disrupt the ritual.

Make sure to log in a little early, around 3:45 p.m. PDT, to ensure you are prepared and ready to join the session. To participate in the playtest, follow these steps:

1. Open the Battle.net App and select the World of Warcraft playscreen.
2. In the game version drop-down menu, choose Public Test Realm (DF 10.2.0) and click Install.
3. The Play button will take you to the PTR, where you should select the Iridikron realm.
4. On the character selection screen, choose 'Copy Character' to test with a copy of one of your characters from live realms.

To quickly teleport to the Emerald Dream zone, speak to the Questzertauren NPC located in the middle of Valdrakken.

Conclusion

Both the Superbloom and Emerald Bounty events will be accessible once players enter the Emerald Dream zone. Please note that the Superbloom event starts every hour, on the hour, ensuring you have multiple chances to participate.

During this playtest session, players will have the ability to fast track Dreamfruit progression by speaking to the Sprucecrown NPC and selecting the dialogue option to unlock all four Dreamfruit. However, this is not indicative of the day one experience and is solely intended for gathering system feedback.
