Blizzard has recently provided some insight into the upcoming class changes in Patch 1.4.0 for Diablo 4 Season 4. In this blog post, we'll explore the buffs and nerfs that will affect each class in the game.

General Changes

  • The mobility skills of all classes have been tagged as "Mobility" to interact with the itemization system.
  • Damage Reduction has become more rare and special.

Barbarian

  • The inherent Damage Reduction of the Barbarian class has been removed.

  • Skills

  • Charge: The damage of this skill will be reduced.
  • Hammer of the Ancients: The damage of this skill will be reduced.

  • Passives

  • Unbridled Rage: The damage of this passive will be reduced.

Druid

  • Minions

  • Minions will now inherit 100% of the player's stats.

  • Skills

  • Lacerate: Previously, Lacerate hits healed for 3% of Maximum Life, doubled on Critical Strikes. Now, the first Critical Strike is guaranteed and deals 150% increased damage. Additionally, whenever Lacerate critically strikes, your Shapeshifting Skills will deal 4% increased damage for 10 seconds, up to 40%.

Necromancer

  • Minions

  • Minions will now inherit 100% of the player's stats.

  • Book of the Dead

Upgrade Node 1
Previous: Reaper attacks against enemies who are Immobilized, Slowed, Stunned, or Vulnerable reduce the cooldown of their powerful wind-up attack by 2 seconds.
New: Reaper's wind-up attacks now reduce one of your active Cooldowns by 3 seconds.
Upgrade Node 2
Previous: Enemies who are Frozen by or damaged while Frozen by your Cold Mages' primary attack are made Vulnerable for 4 seconds.
New: Cold Mages' attacks apply Vulnerable for 4 seconds.
Previous: Your Iron Golem's slam attack also makes enemies Vulnerable for 3 seconds.
New: Your Iron Golem's slam attack also pulls in enemies.

Rogue

  • Class Specializations

  • Inner Sight: Previously, attacking marked enemies filled up your Inner Sight gauge and granted unlimited Energy for 4 seconds. Now, attacking non-marked enemies will also fill up the gauge, but at 5% of the normal rate. When the gauge is full, players will gain unlimited Energy and a 25% Critical Strike Chance for 4 seconds.

Sorcerer

  • General Changes

  • Mastery Skills are now also considered Core Skills.

  • Skills

  • Frozen Orb: The skill will no longer travel a set distance and will instead move to the player's directed location.

  • Enchantments

  • Flame Shield: Previously, Flame Shield automatically activated when the player took fatal damage. It can now only activate after cumulatively losing 100% Maximum Life. The activation can occur once every 30 seconds instead of once every 120 seconds.

Bug Fixes

  • The Evade Cooldown Reduction affix has been fixed to only work with intentional casts.
  • The Evade Cooldown Reduction affix was unintentionally triggering off of free casts from Unstable Currents, allowing for near infinite uptime on the skill.
  • Esu's Ferocity will now only apply to Fire damage as intended.

Conclusion

These class changes offer a glimpse into what players can expect in Patch 1.4.0 for Diablo 4 Season 4. Remember that these changes are subject to further adjustments before they are implemented on live servers. Make sure to stay tuned for more updates and prepare for a new and exciting gameplay experience!

Blizzard explains the reason behind the cap on talent loadouts in response to player concerns. While the current limit of 10 loadouts may seem restrictive for players who engage in various content, there are addon solutions available to overcome this limitation. These addons allow players to save and manage more loadouts on their own device.
