March 23, 2024 3 minutes

Blizzard's upcoming Patch 1.4.0 for Diablo 4 Season 4 will bring exciting changes to Legendary Aspects and introduce new aspects as well. In this blog post, we'll delve into the details of these changes and additions that await players in the latest patch.

New Legendary Aspects

Let's start by discussing the new Legendary Aspects that Blizzard is bringing to the game.

  • Aspect of Concussive Strikes

A new Utility Legendary Aspect, Aspect of Concussive Strikes, is being introduced. When you damage an enemy, there is a chance to Daze them. Additionally, you will deal increased damage to Dazed enemies.

  • Aphotic Aspect

For Necromancer players, Blizzard has designed a new Utility Legendary Aspect called Aphotic Aspect. This Aspect empowers your Skeletal Warriors' attacks, causing them to deal Shadow damage. Furthermore, there is a chance for the empowered attacks to Stun enemies.

Aspect Changes

In addition to the new Aspects, Blizzard has made changes to existing ones. Let's take a look at some of these changes.

  • Windlasher Aspect

The Windlasher Aspect for Barbarians has received an alteration. Previously, casting Double Swing twice within 2 seconds created a Dust Devil that damaged enemies behind the target. Now, casting Double Swing will create a Dust Devil that deals damage to enemies in its path. Additionally, if Double Swing is cast twice within 2 seconds, triple the amount of Dust Devils will be created.

  • Aspect of Anemia

The Aspect of Anemia for Barbarians has also undergone a modification. Previously, there was a chance to Stun Bleeding enemies with a lucky hit. Now, the chance to Stun applies to both Bleeding and Vulnerable enemies.

  • Aspect of Giant Strides

Barbarians will also see a change in the Aspect of Giant Strides. Previously, this Aspect reduced the Cooldown of Leap by seconds per enemy hit, with a maximum reduction of 9 seconds. However, now the maximum reduction can be achieved through hits on bosses.

  • Opportunist's Aspect

Rogue players will notice a change in the Opportunist's Aspect. Previously, breaking Stealth with an attack would drop a cluster of exploding Stun Grenades that dealt physical damage and stunned enemies for 0.50 seconds. Now, entering or breaking Stealth will cause the player to drop a cluster of exploding Stun Grenades around them, dealing physical damage and stunning enemies for 1.00 second. Additionally, Grenade Skills will deal increased damage.

  • Aspect of Arrow Storms

The Aspect of Arrow Storms for Rogues has been altered as well. Previously, there was a chance for Marksman Skills to create an arrow storm that dealt physical damage over 3 seconds. The maximum active storms allowed were 5. Now, Marksman Skills can produce an Arrow Storm without relying on chances, and the damage of Arrow Storms has been increased.

  • Aspect of Concentration

The Sorcerer's Aspect of Concentration has undergone a change from a Resource Aspect to a Defensive Aspect. Previously, it increased Mana Regeneration if the player hadn't taken damage in the last 2 seconds. Now, Conjuration Skills will provide the player with Damage Reduction.

  • Aspect of Conflagration

Another change for Sorcerer players is seen in the Aspect of Conflagration. Previously, while channeling Incinerate, Burning damage was increased. Now, Incinerate not only increases Burning damage, but enemies killed by it will explode, dealing Burning damage to surrounding enemies.

  • Aspect of the Bounding Conduit

Lastly, the Aspect of the Bounding Conduit for Sorcerers has been revised. Previously, you would gain Movement Speed for 3 seconds after Teleporting. Now, the Cooldown of Teleport is reduced, and after Teleporting, Crackling Energy hits 2 additional enemies.

Please note that these changes are subject to further adjustment before the patch goes live on May 14. The descriptions of some Legendary Aspects may still be incomplete, and potential changes could have been missed due to the Codex of Power system shortening the Aspects' descriptions. Stay tuned for more updates and enjoy the thrilling changes that await you in Diablo 4!

Blizzard explains the reason behind the cap on talent loadouts in response to player concerns. While the current limit of 10 loadouts may seem restrictive for players who engage in various content, there are addon solutions available to overcome this limitation. These addons allow players to save and manage more loadouts on their own device.
