2024 Mythic+ Charity Pro-Am Event: Amateur Registration Now Open

Exciting news for World of Warcraft players! Team Liquid and Raider.IO have teamed up to sponsor the Mythic+ Charity Pro-Am charity event. This event aims to raise awareness and funds in support of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in gaming. The competition will feature 6 Mythic+ Dungeon teams racing against each other to complete the highest key in 5 hours.

Event Details

This year, Wowhead is proud to be one of the sponsors for the Charity Pro-Am competition. We are lending our support to Raider.IO, Team Liquid, and all the charities involved in this annual event. The event will take place on May 25th, 2024 at 9am PDT/6pm CEST on the Team Liquid Twitch Channel.

• Amateur Registration

If you're an amateur player, now's your chance to sign up and potentially compete alongside some of the best M+ dungeoneers in the game. Each team will consist of 2 MDI professional players, 1 community influencer or content creator, and 2 players chosen at random from open registration. To register, visit the Raider.IO website and sign up before the deadline on May 10th, 11:59pm PDT. Selected players will be notified on May 11th, 2024, and will have 48 hours to accept their position.

• Eligibility Rules

In order to be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:

• Have an active World of Warcraft Blizzard account for at least 6 months
• Be based in either the Americas/Oceania or Europe Regions
• Earned a Mythic+ Score of at least 500 within Dragonflight Season 3 or Season 4
• Not have any characters with a Mythic+ Score above 3300 within Dragonflight Season 3 or Season 4
• Have your Battle.net and Discord accounts synced to your Raider.IO profile

These requirements ensure fair competition and give everyone a chance to participate.

About the Event

The Mythic+ Charity Pro-Am will be held on the World of Warcraft Tournament Realms, a dedicated in-game server provided by Blizzard Entertainment. Each team will have 5 hours to push Mythic+ keystone dungeons as high as they can. Points will be awarded based on the highest level they can complete of each dungeon. The team with the most points at the end of the 5 hours wins!

This year's event will support charities involved in fostering Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, Accessibility, and Justice initiatives in gaming. The selected charities include AbleGamers, The Trevor Project, Girls Who Code, Equal Justice Initiative, Women in Games International, and Doctors Without Borders. The $20,000 USD prize pool, donated by sponsors, will be distributed among the 6 teams based on their placement. Viewers will also have the opportunity to donate directly to these charities during the live event.

Pro-Am Format

The Pro-Am format pairs amateurs with professionals, giving aspiring players the chance to team up with seasoned M+ players. Each team consists of 2 professionals, 1 influencer/content creator, and 2 amateurs. The amateurs are selected through a random lottery from open registration, so anyone who meets the eligibility requirements can participate.
