Dathea, Ascended - Vault Of Incarnates Normal / Heroic / Mythic Raid Strategy Guide

This is a guide to the Dathea, Ascended fight in Vault of the Incarnates on Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulty. You might remember Dathea as one of the primal council members from earlier in the raid. She is back for some windy revenge.

Dathea, Ascended Normal Difficulty

Zephyr Slam slaps the tank, does a knockback, and stacks up a debuff that makes it slappier and knockbackier. Swap after 2-3 stacks, and be careful not to get knocked off, especially when you're at high stacks.

Conductive Mark puts out familiar Blue circles onto people. Those are still contagious. Spread out and avoid touching anybody.

Raging Tempests make whirlwinds that wander around and dodge them. Crosswinds spell moves the whirlwinds. Check the arrows to see where they're going, and don't be in the way.

Cyclone drags the raid toward the middle. Fight this pull.

And at 100 energy, she summons an add with Coalescing Storm. It'll slam its tank pretty well with Aerial Slash and spit out some stuff to dodge.

When it dies, Blowback will knock everybody back really far away from the add. That's dangerous and important. There is another platform with another one of those adds in the boss room. That one is channeling Diverted Essence on the boss, and you need to get up there to kick and kill it. To get there, you can position yourself, so the knockback from the first add death bumps you up to the ledge. Dodge swirls, interrupt, kill the add, and then use the second knockback to send you back to the main floor. If nothing else, be aware of where those big adds are dying because Blowback can and will send you hurtling. On Normal, that's it.

Dathea, Ascended Heroic Difficulty

On Heroic, you get more adds up on the platform that spam-cast Storm Bolt. Also, you get another Volatile Infuser. This means you have to split the raid into two big groups now. Each group should fight the corresponding Infuser. Each group should kick the adds, round them up, and rinse them down along with the big Infuser.

There's also more raid damage during the add phase, so healers should be ready for that. And that's Dathea in Heroic mode!

Dathea, Ascended Mythic Difficulty

Dathea doesn't spawn the Volatile Infuser big adds anymore. Five of them are already present and dormant on her platform. You must "fully charge" them by passing your electric DoT debuff: Conductive Mark to them 5 times. Conductive Mark doesn't fade anymore. Your only way to remove it now is to transfer it to a dormant add, thus charging it.

You still spread the debuff to nearby players and don't want to do that. Charging an add triggers a burst of damage on the raid and a stacking 4s DoT: Static Discharge. Let the DoT fade before charging another add. You might have to hold off on killing an add until you know which platform to use (i.e., which one the ads have spawned on). When you activate an add (by fully charging it to 5 stacks), it clears all the existing charges on other dormant adds.

This blog post discusses a bug in the game where purchased items cannot be socketed using a specific gem upgrade token. The bug specifically affects players trying to socket the highly coveted Seal of Diurna's Chosen, causing frustration among the player base. Additionally, the post mentions other bugs and issues that have arisen in Season 4 of the game, leading to a less than smooth experience for both Blizzard and players.
