Fiery Gastropod - A Dozen Days of Steeds: Day 9

December 31, 2023 3 minutes

Welcome to day nine of our special Twelve Days of Mounts series, 2023 edition! With the holiday season in full swing, we are thrilled to bring you another highlight on an extraordinary mount that you can easily obtain in the popular game Dragonflight. Today, we are excited to introduce you to the Seething Slug!

Seething Slug: A Treasure to Discover

The Seething Slug is one of the unique slug mounts that was added in Patch 10.1 of Dragonflight. On the surface, it appears to be a relatively easy mount to obtain. It can be looted from a special treasure located in the depths of Zaralek Caverns. However, there's a small twist. In order to access the treasure, you must first collect and interact with three Seething Orbs located at the Zaqali Caldera.

  • Collecting the Seething Orbs

To complete this task, you must venture into the Zaqali Caldera and locate the Seething Orbs scattered throughout its treacherous terrain. Here are a few of the known locations:

Location Coordinates
Seething Orb 1 /way #2133 28.75 55.30
Seething Orb 2 /way #2133 29.95 47.97
Seething Orb 3 /way #2133 34.41 45.71
Seething Orb 4 /way #2133 36.20 44.01
Seething Orb 5 /way #2133 31.18 51.95
Seething Orb 6 /way #2133 30.20 40.00
Seething Orb 7 /way #2133 27.70 49.00
Seething Orb 8 /way #2133 26.70 47.00
Seething Orb 9 /way #2133 27.90 51.00
Seething Orb 10 /way #2133 25.24 44.80

These are just a few examples of where you can find the Seething Orbs. For a more comprehensive list of orb locations, be sure to check out the comments section on our website where fellow adventurers have shared their experiences.

  • Looting the Seething Cache

Once you have collected all three Seething Orbs, a hidden treasure cache known as the Seething Cache will be revealed. Follow the coordinates /way #2133 32.33 39.35 to locate the cache. Within this cache lies the Seething Slug mount, waiting to be claimed.

However, there's a word of caution. If another player happens to loot the mount from the Seething Cache in the same phase that you are collecting the orbs, you will lose your current progress and need to start again. So, be quick and vigilant in your quest for this remarkable slug mount!

Did You Know?

Fun fact! The Seething Slug mount was originally introduced during the beta phase of Dragonflight but was unexpectedly removed before the official game launch. Thankfully, the mount made a grand return with Patch 10.1, much to the joy of avid mount collectors and adventurers alike.

That concludes our spotlight on the Seething Slug mount. We hope this guide has provided you with the necessary information and inspiration to embark on your journey to obtain this unique and mesmerizing mount. Stay tuned for more exciting highlights in our Twelve Days of Mounts series!
