Unique Effects and Group Synergy - Exploring New Crafted Epics in The War Within

The War Within is bringing new Profession recipes to players, which means new and interesting effects on crafted epics! Players will be excited to discover the unique and useful abilities of these new items. While not yet present on any of the crafted items, we have found a new Embellishment tag, suggesting that the most powerful special effects on crafted gear will be limited similar to the previous expansion, Dragonflight. Let's take a closer look at some of the intriguing Leatherworking, Jewelcrafting, and Alchemy effects that players can expect in The War Within.

Leatherworking

With sets for both Mail and Leather wearers, Leatherworking has a long history of providing strong crafted gear. In The War Within, Leatherworkers will have the opportunity to create powerful items with unique effects.

• Waders of the Unifying Flame - Healing an ally has a chance to grant you both a Unifying Ember. When two Unifying Embers come into contact, they erupt into Unifying Flames and grant 666 of a random secondary stat. However, if you are wearing the Waders of the Unifying Flame, you will instead receive your highest secondary stat.
• Weathered Stormfront Vest, Roiling Thunderstrike Talons, and Rook Feather Wristwraps - (2) Set: While in combat, there is a chance that lightning will strike nearby. Being struck by the lightning will infuse you with Rook's Fury, granting 453 Haste for 12 seconds.
• Busy Bee's Buckle, Reinforced Setae Flyers, and Smoldering Pollen Hauberk - (2) Set: Your spells and abilities have a chance to create a floating orb of Fire Pollen nearby. Stepping into the orb will gather it, increasing your highest secondary stat by 2159 for 12 seconds. Up to 2 allies who step near you during this time will also receive a temporary boost to that same secondary stat.
• Sanctified Torchbearer's Grips - Your spells and abilities have a chance to bring the power of the Light to bear against your foes, judging them with a Spark of Beladar. Spark of Beladar deals a significant amount of Radiant damage to the target and marks them. Marked targets take additional Radiant damage from Spark of Beladar, consuming the spark in the process.
• Vambraces of Deepening Darkness - Dealing damage has a chance to grant you a stack of Deepening Darkness. The Darkness erupts at 5 stacks, dealing Shadow damage split among all nearby enemies. Damage increases per target, up to 5. Afterward, the shadows impede your movement, slowing you down for a short duration.

Jewelcrafting

Jewelcrafting offers a few pieces with interesting effects that focus on group play. These crafts provide bonuses that work in tandem with allies.

• Binding of Binding

Use: Sever your bond at the cost of 1 Blasphemite. (2 Min Cooldown). Equip: Your spells and abilities have a chance to empower each unique gem color of an ally's socketed gems. This boon grants a significant boost to each empowered secondary stat for a limited time. This effect will always target your bonded ally, if possible.

• Fractured Gemstone Locket

When you enter combat, gain a Dormant Gemstone for each socketed gem. Whenever you heal an ally, bestow upon them an Empowered Gemstone to increase the potency of one of their socketed gems for a duration. When their gemstone becomes dormant, it is returned to you for future use.

Alchemy

Although not particularly known for crafted equipment, Alchemy offers a new trinket in The War Within that enhances the effectiveness of healing and mana potions.

• Algarian Alchemist Stone

When you heal or deal damage, you have a chance to increase your Strength, Agility, or Intellect for a limited time. Your highest stat is always chosen. Additionally, this trinket increases the effect of healing and mana potions by 40% for the wearer.
