Warcraft Logs Confirms Updates to Augmentation Evoker Combat Log Hook in Patch 10.1.7

September 12, 2023 2 minutes

Full Reattribution of damage of Augmentation Evokers gets one step closer as Patch 10.1.7 implements some additional Augmentation Evoker Combat Log fixes. The Warcraft Logs team details the additional fixes in an update to their list of known remaining Augmentation Evoker Combat Log bugs. Players should be mindful of these remaining issues as it may affect perception of an Augmentation's performance. These remaining bugs will likely require additional work from Blizzard before they're able to be addressed by WCL.

Confirmed Augmentation Evoker Combat Log Fixes in Patch 10.1.7

The Warcraft Logs team has outlined a number of fixes to Combat Log Hooks that came with Patch 10.1.7.

General

  • Damage abilities shared across specs now attribute for healers (Consecration, Shield of the Righteous, Hammer of Wrath, Crusader Strike, Thrash, Swipe, Rake, Ferocious Bite, etc.)

Healing

  • Healing Reattribution Added;
  • HoTs Reattribution bugged.

Full Reattribution:

Astral Smolder (Balance Druid) Malefic Rapture (Affliction Warlock) Fists of Fury (Windwalker Monk) Stormblast (Enhancement Shaman) Drain Life (Warlock)

Unconfirmed but Expected Reattribution

Remaining Augmentation Evoker Combat Log Bugs

A number of issues still remain before full reattribution can be achieved for Augmentation Evokers. Players should be mindful of these issues as they look to fully assess the performance of Augmentation Evoker.

General

  • Ebon Might, Shifting Sands, Prescience do not reattribute anything if the initial hit is fully absorbed (this was fixed prior and reintroduced on July 26th);
  • Prescience sometimes claims the entire damage of the triggering hit for a short period of time;
  • Trinket friendly fire reattributes (e.g. Neltharion class trinkets);
  • In large pulls, support events may write negative values until leaving combat.

Abilities Not Reattributing Anything

  • Blade Flurry;
  • Beast Cleave;
  • Kill Cleave;
  • Earthquake;
  • Lightning Rod;
  • Frenzied Assault;
  • Ragefire.

Abilities Not Reattributing

  • Ebon Might;
  • Flametongue Weapon;
  • Kill Command;
  • Claw.

Special Cases

  • Mistweaver: basically nothing except Zen Pulse reattributes;
  • Feral: Feral Frenzy <-> Ebon Might values seem to be off, similar with Tear (Rip & Tear) and Pouncing Strikes;
  • Shadow: Prescience does not work with Shadowy Apparitions or Tormented Spirits;
  • Destruction: Prescience does not seem to increase Chaos Bolt damage.

Healing Reattribution

HoTs reattribution is all over the place, ranging from claiming simply too much (50%+) up to beyond 100% of healing done. Implementation of healing reattribution led to absorbs sometimes logging negative values.

Thank you to Warcraft Logs for bringing these remaining issues to our attention and for all the hard work implementing Augmentation as well as the continued log support.
