December 16, 2023 5 minutes

The Feast of Winter Veil is once again upon us, bringing joy and festivities to the world of Azeroth. While eagerly waiting to unwrap presents under the tree on the 25th, why not immerse yourself in the holiday spirit by participating in some exciting activities? Join in on the mayhem by taking on the quest "You're a Mean One..." or "You're a Mean One..." to defeat the Abominable Greench and earn yourself a Stolen Present. Don't forget to rescue poor trapped Chris Metzen the Reindeer along the way! If you're looking for detailed information about all the festivities, look no further than our comprehensive guide: The Feast of Winter Veil Guide.

New Additions

This year, there are a few remarkable additions to the holiday celebration. One notable item is the Pressie Under the Tree, a special surprise waiting for you - but don't peek! Completing the daily quest and vanquishing the Greench will reward you with a Stolen Present. This year, the present might contain the fabulous Highland Drake: Winter Veil Armor, which will adorn your Highland Drake in festive attire. Additionally, you might find the Festive Trans-Dimensional Bird Whistle, a sleigh for Pepe, to embark on merry adventures together.

Aside from these exciting new items, the holiday decorations have received a makeover too. Expect to encounter unique ornaments like an orc nutcracker and Lost Vikings-themed decorations. You'll also find higher resolution versions of past years' holly decorations, adding a traditional touch to the festive ambiance.

Let the Festivities Begin!

The fine folks of Smokywood Pastures are undeterred by the shattered sky and ominous portents. They are determined to spread holiday cheer and, of course, make a little profit. Winter Veil celebrations have commenced in Azeroth, and you can witness the festive decorations throughout the world. Visit Orgrimmar and Ironforge to embark on initial holiday quests, but keep your eyes open for decorations in unexpected places as well.

Dragonflight

It's the season of celebration! Strongholds are awash with festive cheer, and gifts are stacked beneath the trees. The Feast of Winter Veil has arrived in Azeroth, bringing with it delightful new items to expand your collections. Notably, the Abominable Greench has upped the ante after his shenanigans involving Metzen. Storm into his cave and save Metzen for a chance to earn rewarding items:

Highland Drake: Winter Veil Saddle Deck your drake in festive flare perfect for the season with a big red nose, antlers, and a sleigh-like saddle fit for a jolly rider.
Festive Trans-Dimensional Bird Whistle Summon Pepe in a tiny sleigh to join you in lighthearted adventures, because the more, the merrier!

Several bosses have embraced the joyful season and are eager to join in the lighthearted fun with festive hats, loot, and holiday decorations. However, don't be fooled by their jolly appearance; their motivations remain as miserable as before. Battle with the same determination as always to ensure they don't sour the season. Face off against Hackclaw's War-Band in Brackenhide Hollow, Khajin the Unyielding in the Halls of Infusion, Assault of the Zaqali in Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible, Tyr, the Infinite Keeper in Dawn of the Infinite, and the Council of Dreams in Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope.

Gifts to Bring Joy

Greatfather Winter has added two wonderful gifts to the pile this year to make the celebration even more special:

  1. Junior Timekeeper's Racing Belt: From the 'I Can Be Lord Andestrasz' collection of racing accessories comes a new do-it-yourself course creation kit! Release rings periodically for your party members to race through and compete for glory.
  2. Winter Veil Socks: Don these festive footwear to bring the spirit of the Feast of Winter Veil wherever you go. Leave behind a snowy trail effect as you traverse Azeroth. Just remember to machine wash them cold and hang them during a flurry to dry!

World of Warcraft® Classic: Season of Discovery

Join in the celebration and partake in the Season of Discovery as Greatfather Winter fills Azeroth with festive cheer and merriment during the Feast of Winter Veil. Enjoy gifts, food, and more! Hop aboard a magical sleigh ride with your friends through Orgrimmar or Ironforge, and don't forget to take a S.E.L.F.I.E. to capture the moment. Visit the Smokeywoods Pastures cart in Ironforge or Orgrimmar and interact with Greatfeather Pepe to obtain A Tiny Winter Hat. When you summon Pepe to accompany you on your adventures, he might just be dressed up in the perfect Winter Veil outfit, complete with a tiny beard.

Festive Favorites

Embrace the holiday spirit by stepping into one of the Giant Snow Globes located outside the Ironforge Bank, overlooking the Valley of Wisdom in Orgrimmar, or in Dalaran in the Broken Isles. It's a truly transformative experience that allows your inner Greatfather Winter helper to shine. A little /dance will spread the joy to those around you, so let loose and have fun.*

Don't forget that the Abominable Greench is still causing trouble in Hillsbrad Foothills. Make sure to take a break from enjoying the fine foods and beverages from Smokywood Pastures to put a stop to his reign of terror. Players level 30 and above can now embark on the quest "You're a Mean One..." to restore peace.

There are plenty of holiday hats to be found as well. Explore dungeons in the Broken Isles, Northrend, and other locations to discover bosses with a variety of hats. Whether you choose green or red, these holiday accessories are sure to add a festive touch to your adventures.

Lastly, mark your calendars for December 25th as Greatfather Winter will have left some special presents just for you to unwrap. Make sure not to miss out on whatever surprises await!
