April 24, 2024 6 minutes

Hey adventurers! Today, we have some exciting news for you about the latest patch notes from Blizzard. In addition to the class adjustments that were previously announced, Blizzard has released full patch notes for today's hotfixes. Let's dive in and see what changes await us in the Season of Discovery!

Druid Changes

Druids are in for some exciting updates in the Season of Discovery. The Natural Weapons talent now increases all damage done by druids, not just physical damage. This change will enhance the overall damage output of druid abilities, making them even more formidable in battle.

The Gale Winds rune has also received a significant improvement. It now reduces the mana cost of Hurricane by a whopping 60%! This change will allow druids to cast Hurricane more frequently without worrying about running out of mana.

In addition, there have been some adjustments to the Swiftmend ability. It will no longer consume a Rejuvenation or Regrowth effect on the target when used. However, please note that Rejuvenation or Regrowth still need to be active on the target for Swiftmend to be effective.

Hunter Improvements

Hunters, get ready for some exciting changes to improve your ranged playstyle in the Season of Discovery. Rapid Killing now reduces the cooldown of Rapid Fire by a staggering 80%, ensuring that you can unleash a flurry of shots more frequently.

The Chimera Shot ability has also received a boost, with its weapon damage percent increased to 135% from 120%. This change will make Chimera Shot hit even harder, making it a devastating attack in your arsenal.

Explosive Shot has also seen an increase in its base damage before attack power by 50%. This change will ensure that Explosive Shot packs an even bigger punch, making it a potent ability against your foes.

One of the most exciting changes for hunters is the addition of an effect to the Sniper Training talent. When Sniper Training reaches 5 stacks, Aimed Shot will be instant. This change will allow hunters to instantly launch powerful Aimed Shots, adding more versatility to their gameplay.

Furthermore, Serpent Spread now causes Multi-Shot to apply Serpent Sting to its targets for 12 seconds instead of 6 seconds. This change will enhance the damage-over-time effects and increase the overall damage dealt by hunters.

Finally, Steady Shot now deals 100% weapon damage, up from 75%. This change will significantly increase the damage output of Steady Shot, making it a valuable ability for hunters.

Note that there are still more adjustments coming for Hunters in the future. The goal is to improve the ranged playstyle and bring it closer to the effectiveness of the melee playstyle.

Paladin Enhancements

Paladins, rejoice! There are some interesting updates coming your way in the Season of Discovery. Seal of Righteousness damage can now result in critical hits. This change will further increase the burst damage potential of paladins who rely on Seal of Righteousness in their combat rotation.

The duration of Sacred Shield has also been extended to 60 seconds from the previous 30 seconds. This change will allow paladins to maintain the protective shield for a longer duration, providing more consistent damage mitigation in battles.

The Crusader Strike ability has gained an additional effect. It now refreshes all judgment effects active on the target, ensuring that the paladin's judgments remain up for a 30-second duration. This change will streamline the rotation and make it easier to maintain buffs on the target.

Additionally, Seal of Martyrdom can now "twist" with other seals, including Seal of Command. This change brings back an interesting emergent effect popular during the original Burning Crusade. It allows paladins to momentarily gain the benefits of two seals at once, enhancing their versatility in combat.

Please note that the developers consider this change to be experimental, and they will closely monitor the performance and behavior of retribution paladins.

Priest Shadowform

Shadow priests, get ready to unleash even more powerful shadow damage in the Season of Discovery! The Shadowform ability now increases all shadow damage done by 25%, up from 15%. This change will make shadow priests even deadlier in combat, dealing substantial damage to their adversaries.

Rogue Updates

Rogues, sharpen your blades, because there are some exciting changes coming your way! The Saber Slash bleed can now stack up to 5 times, making it incredibly potent and causing additional damage over time.

Furthermore, the Saber Slash bleed now increases the impact damage done by Sinister Strike and Saber Slash by 15% per stack for the rogue who applied the bleed. This change will make the bleed effect even more devastating, allowing rogues to deal massive burst damage.

The Saber Slash bleed will now deal 3% of the rogue's Attack Power in damage per tick, down from 5%. While this may seem like a reduction, the previous changes will more than compensate for the slight decrease in damage.

Shaman Adjustments

Shamans, listen up! The developers have heard your feedback and have made some improvements to enhance the usability of Mental Dexterity. It will now only trigger from dealing damage with Stormstrike and Lava Lash, improving its synergy with the enhancement shaman playstyle. Additionally, the duration of Mental Dexterity has been increased to 30 seconds from 10 seconds, giving shamans more time to benefit from this ability.

An exciting change has also been made to the Burn rune. It now increases Flame Shock damage by 100% and Flame Shock's duration by 6 seconds. Furthermore, Flame Shock will now strike up to 5 targets, up from 3 targets. These changes will significantly enhance the overall output and usability of Flame Shock, allowing shamans to deal devastating damage to multiple enemies simultaneously.
