Season of Revelation: The Evolving Ashenvale Battlefield
Written by WowCarry
Blizzard has recently made several updates to the popular PvP event Battle for Ashenvale, addressing player concerns about reputation rewards and the event ending too quickly. These changes have been implemented to improve the overall experience for players participating in this event.
Reputation Rewards
One of the major updates focuses on reputation rewards. Previously, players were not being rewarded with reputation for their actions during the event. However, Blizzard has now rectified this issue. Whenever a character initiates any hostile action against an opposing faction Lieutenant or faction leader in the objective areas, they will receive reputation when that enemy is defeated.
To earn reputation, players must use offensive actions such as harmful spells, abilities, melee attacks, or ranged attacks against their enemies. Even healers are required to use offensive actions against the Lieutenants or faction leaders to receive reputation. This change ensures that all players, regardless of their role, have the opportunity to contribute and receive rewards.
Furthermore, players will now receive reputation even if they are dead or no longer in close proximity to the enemy when it is defeated. As long as they are still within the zone, they will receive the reputation reward.
Updated Rewards
In addition to reputation rewards, Blizzard has also made changes to the overall rewards players receive during the event. Previously, only the winning faction would receive reputation. However, now every member of the winning faction will receive 200 reputation when the faction leader is defeated. Additionally, players will also receive 200 reputation for killing a Lieutenant, regardless of their faction.
Another reward update relates to the remaining friendly Lieutenants. The winning team will now receive 100 reputation per friendly Lieutenant that remains at the end of the event. For example, if there are two Lieutenants alive when the battle is won, a character will gain an additional 200 reputation for killing the faction leader, in addition to the reputation earned from defeating objectives and the remaining Lieutenants. These changes incentivize players to work together and ensure that more participants can earn reputation rewards.
Additional Changes
Blizzard has also made a couple of additional changes to the Ashenvale PvP event. Firstly, the Trainee’s Sentinel Nightsaber and Trainee’s Outrider Wolf now require Friendly reputation with the Silverwing Sentinels and Warsong Outriders, respectively, instead of Honored. This adjustment allows players to acquire these mounts at an earlier reputation level, encouraging more players to participate in the event.
Furthermore, the time limit for completing the Ashenvale PvP event has been extended from 30 minutes to 60 minutes. This change provides players with more time to strategize and complete the objectives, ensuring a more enjoyable and less rushed experience.
Conclusion
These recent updates to the Battle for Ashenvale PvP event have addressed important concerns raised by the player community. By implementing changes to reputation rewards, overall rewards, and adjusting the event duration, Blizzard has improved the event's experience for all participants. Players can now earn reputation for their actions, enjoy extended time to complete the event, and acquire mounts at an earlier stage. These updates encourage greater engagement with the PvP event and foster a more positive and rewarding gameplay experience for everyone. Still feeling a bit confused with all PvP stuff in game?
