Phase 4 of Wrath Classic "Fall of the Lich King" is now live on NA Realms! The highly anticipated Icecrown Citadel will be launching globally on October 12 at 3:00 PM PT. This final major raid in Wrath of the Lich King Classic will feature twelve bosses spread across five different wings, offering Azeroth's mightiest heroes terrifying challenges before they face the Lich King and his runeblade, Frostmourne.

Icecrown Citadel: The Frozen Throne

Icecrown Citadel, known as the Frozen Throne, will be the ultimate test for players in Wrath of the Lich King Classic. With the raid opening at 3:00 PM PDT on October 12, adventurers will have the opportunity to take on the Lich King and his minions in a series of epic encounters. This raid consists of five wings, each housing a variety of bosses that must be defeated in order to progress. Prepare to face off against some of the most formidable foes yet.

  • New Dungeons: The Frozen Halls

Alongside the Icecrown Citadel raid, players can venture into the new dungeons known as The Frozen Halls. Divided into three separate five-player instances, The Forge of Souls, Pit of Saron, and Halls of Reflection will challenge players as they follow either Jaina Proudmoore or Sylvanas Windrunner into the Lich King's domain. These dungeons are now open for exploration and provide additional content for players to enjoy.

  • Random Dungeon Finder

One exciting addition to Wrath Classic is the inclusion of the Random Dungeon Finder. Players can now queue for random dungeons, including Normal Dungeons, Heroics, Defense Protocol Alpha, Defense Protocol Beta, and Defense Protocol Gamma. This feature provides a convenient way to find groups and experience a variety of dungeon content in the game.

  • Titan Rune Dungeons: Defense Protocol Gamma

A new difficulty level of Titan Rune Dungeons is now available in Wrath Classic. Players can initiate Defense Protocol Gamma through the Random Dungeon Finder or by manually traveling to dungeons and activating the mysterious device inside. In these dungeons, creatures will have increased damage and health, providing a greater challenge for adventurers. Players will also receive additional beneficial buffs to assist them in their dungeon runs.

  • Shadowmourne Legendary Quest

The legendary questline for Shadowmourne has received adjustments and improvements to allow more players to enjoy it. Several changes have been made, including the drop rate of Shadowfrost Shards and guaranteed drops from end bosses. Additionally, Primordial Saronite can be purchased from vendors or obtained through Titan Rune Dungeon: Gamma Protocol dungeons. These updates give players more opportunities to obtain this powerful legendary weapon.

  • New Collections User Interface

To enhance the overall gameplay experience, a new collections interface has been added to Wrath of the Lich King Classic. This feature allows players to conveniently gather and manage their Pets, Mounts, Toys, and Heirloom items in one central location. Most of these items are now account-wide, making it easier for players to access and enjoy their collection across multiple characters.

  • Mount Adjustments

In response to player feedback and to improve the overall mount experience, several adjustments have been made. Mount speed and abilities now scale with player riding skill, ensuring a more seamless and immersive ride. Additionally, flying mounts can now be used as ground mounts in areas where flying is restricted, with a few exceptions such as Dalaran and Wintergrasp.

Class Adjustments

  • Druid/Priest/Shaman

The spells Wild Growth, Circle of Healing, Ancestral Healing, and Divine Hymn have been adjusted to prioritize players over pets and guardians, providing better healing support in group situations.

  • Hunter

Hunters now have access to a new skill called Trap Launcher: Explosive Trap. This skill can be trained at any Hunter class trainer and is available to all specializations. It's important to note that Trap Launcher: Explosive Trap is not usable in PvP Arenas or Battlegrounds.

  • Warlock

Warlocks will notice a few changes, including a reduction in the internal cooldown of Demonic Pact and adjustments to its power. Additionally, the cooldown of Summon Infernal will now reset on encounter end events, similar to other long-duration cooldowns in Wrath Classic.

Quest Log and Quest Tracking

  • The Quest Tracking feature is now available.

Players can now easily track their quests using the new Quest Tracking feature. By opening the quest log, selecting a quest, and clicking "show on map," players can see quest markers and area blobs that indicate the location of quest objectives. Opening the map in a zone with active quests will also display the quest tracking functionality. This feature can be toggled on and off by checking or unchecking the "Show Quest Objectives" checkbox in the map menu.

Daily Quest Updates

Archmage Lan'dalock and Archmage Timear have made some changes to their daily quests. Archmage Lan'dalock no longer offers dungeon-specific daily quests, but instead provides a weekly raid quest for Emblems of Frost and a daily dungeon quest for Emblems of Frost. These changes ensure a more consistent and rewarding daily quest experience for players.

Bug Fixes and Adjustments

As with any major update, several bug fixes and adjustments have been made to improve the overall gameplay experience. These include fixes for item bugs, class abilities, quest issues, and more. The developers have listened to player feedback and worked diligently to address these issues to provide a smoother and more enjoyable gaming experience for all.
