Bug Fix: Mobs in Darkheart Thicket Riddle Solved - World Quest No Longer Affected

February 14, 2024 3 minutes

After years of frustration, players of the popular game DarkfantasyWorld have finally received some good news. A bug that has plagued the Darkheart Thicket dungeon for seven long years has finally been fixed. This bug, which affected both the non-Mythic+ difficulty and the Mythic+ difficulty, caused a pack of trash mobs to be removed and replaced with a boss named Mythana during the Darkheart Thicket: Mythana World Quest.

The Darkheart Thicket dungeon was originally introduced during the Legion expansion, which was released in 2016. This expansion brought new features to the game, including Dungeon World Quests and Mythic+ difficulties. These additions were well-received by players and have continued to be popular in subsequent expansions. However, the Mythana World Quest bug has been a thorn in the side of players since the launch of Legion.

The Mythana World Quest Bug

When the Darkheart Thicket: Mythana World Quest was active in non-Mythic+ difficulty, players encountered an issue. Instead of the usual pack of four mobs, a boss named Mythana appeared. While this change was intentional for the World Quest, it also affected the Mythic+ difficulty. In Mythic+, Mythana did not spawn, and the pack of mobs that players could use for count also disappeared. This bug persisted for the entire seven-year span of the Legion expansion and throughout Dragonflight Season 3.

The consequences of this bug were particularly evident during the recent MDI (Mythic Dungeon International) event. Teams participating in the event were unable to practice the Darkheart Thicket dungeon due to the inconsistency caused by the World Quest. This frustration meant that teams had to wait until the World Quest expired, which typically took three days.

Fortunately, players can now breathe a sigh of relief, as this bug has been addressed and fixed in the Mythic+ difficulty as of last night.

Another Bug in Darkheart Thicket

Aside from the Mythana World Quest bug, another issue has been a cause of frustration for players in Darkheart Thicket. This bug involves the random spawns of two specific boss mobs: Dreadsoul Poisoner and Dreadsoul Ruiner. In each run of the dungeon, the positions of these two bosses would switch randomly. Sometimes, players would encounter four Poisoners, while other times they would face four Ruiners.

The problem with encountering more Poisoners than Ruiners lies in the abilities of the Poisoners. Their Nightmare Toxin ability poses a significant threat, as it can kill targets if not dispelled promptly. When faced with an abundance of Poisoners and a shortage of dispels, players face a challenging situation.

As for whether this bug has been fixed for the MDI event, it remains unclear at this time. Players are hoping that this additional bug has also been addressed, allowing for fair and consistent gameplay during the competition.

Conclusion

The recent fix to the Darkheart Thicket Mythic+ bug is a welcome update for players of DarkfantasyWorld. This long-standing issue had frustrated players for seven years, affecting gameplay and even competitive events such as the MDI. While the status of the Dreadsoul Poisoner and Dreadsoul Ruiner bug remains uncertain, players can celebrate this significant step toward a smoother gaming experience in Darkheart Thicket.
