A recent patch of Mythic+ hotfixes has been released on the Season 4 PTR, addressing various issues in Brackenhide Hollow, Uldaman, and more. These hotfixes aim to improve gameplay and fix problem areas that have been affecting players. Let's take a closer look at the changes that have been made.

Last Week's Hotfixes

Before we dive into the current hotfixes, let's quickly go over the changes that were implemented last week to the Season 4 PTR.

Firstly, in Uldaman, the Lost Dwarves encounter received several adjustments. The damage dealt by Fiery Surge has been reduced by 50%, and the maximum radius of Burning Pitch has been decreased from 10 yards to 6 yards. Additionally, an issue where Heavy Arrow was damaging pets has been addressed. Sentinel Talondras' Earthen Shards now deal reduced initial damage by 20% and periodic damage by 12.5%. Emberon's Burning Heat duration has been shortened from 10 seconds to 6 seconds, and adjustments have been made to Seeking Flame's visual effect to prevent it from clipping into the terrain. Primalist Flamedancer's Flame Dance now deals 25% less damage at the end of its channeling, and the number of targets hit by Flamespit from Kyrakk has been reduced from 3 to 2. Finally, Vexamus in Algeth'ar's Academy has received a 20% reduction in Mana Bomb periodic damage and a slight delay before Corrupted Mana inflicts damage to players inside its effect.

This Week's Hotfixes

This week's hotfixes address undocumented changes that have affected Season 4 dungeons. Let's take a closer look at the changes implemented in Brackenhide Hollow, one of the affected areas.

  • Brackenhide Hollow

Several adjustments have been made to Brackenhide Hollow in order to address pain points and fix any potential bugs. Withering, one of the dangerous abilities, now deals 16.7% less damage. Additionally, Withering no longer stacks as previously announced at the start of Season 4, and it is assumed that Withering no longer double dips when it spawns from a Decay Totem, although this change is unconfirmed. There may have also been changes to the health of the Decay Totems, but this is also unconfirmed. The angle of Wilted Oak's Necrotic Breath has been reduced from 60 degrees to 45 degrees, making it slightly easier to dodge for melee players.

  • Nokhud Offensive

Although there has been a nerf to the damage of Desecrated Ohuna's Rotting Wind, this spell still poses a significant threat and requires careful coordination and communication when dealing with a large number of birds simultaneously.

  • Ruby Life Pools

A small adjustment has been made to the Primalist Flamedancer in the Ruby Life Pools area. Melee players will no longer take immediate damage at the start of the Blaze of Glory cast, making it slightly easier for them to survive.

  • Uldaman

Uldaman has undergone a significant nerf to the AoE damage of the Lost Dwarves encounter. In the first Season 4 build, the damage was reduced by 50%, and now an additional 50% reduction has been implemented through last week's hotfixes. Furthermore, the firing rate of Searing Cannonfire and Fiery Surge has been reduced by 50%, resulting in significantly less fire on the ground.

During the Longboat Raid! event, Searing Cannonfire and Fiery Surge are now triggered every 1.5 seconds instead of 0.75 seconds. When one dwarf is dead, the frequency changes to every 4.5 seconds (previously 3 seconds), and when two dwarves are dead, it is triggered every 3 seconds (previously 2 seconds).

Final Thoughts

These hotfixes aim to improve the overall gameplay experience, fixing problem areas and addressing player concerns. Stay tuned for more updates and adjustments to ensure a smoother and more enjoyable experience in Mythic+ dungeons.
