Exploring Mythic Mechanics: A First Look at Phase 3 Mythic Fyrakk in Liquid Hits
Hey there, fellow gamers! It's WowCarry here with an exciting update on Mythic Fyrakk. Liquid has just entered Phase 3 of the encounter, and we've got some juicy details about the mechanics to share with you!
Phase 3: Mythic Fyrakk
Liquid has made impressive progress, reaching 44% in Phase 3 of the Mythic Fyrakk encounter. This means we've finally unlocked some new mechanics that will surely keep us on our toes!
New Mechanics
Functionally, everything that we've experienced in the Heroic version of this encounter remains intact. However, there are a few key differences that will greatly impact our strategies and execution in Mythic mode.
Increased Damage:
- A seed blowing up now deals a whopping 1.6 million damage per second, making it a wipe if not prepared for the next Apocalypse Roar.
- Getting hit by a Tornado now spells certain death, dealing 1.6 million damage instantly.
- The devastating Breath attack now inflicts a staggering 2.4 million damage on its unfortunate victims.
- Periodic damage has also been ramped up, now hitting 116,000 every 2 seconds.
The Corrupted Seeds:
The main new mechanic in Mythic Fyrakk is the introduction of Corrupted Seeds. After each Apocalypse Roar, when the Seed of Amirdrassil is used to Bloom, the safe zone becomes engulfed in flames for the remainder of the encounter. This means we'll have to adjust our positioning and stack in different spots for the Apocalypse Roar.
In addition, two Corrupted Seeds spawn and need to be picked up. These seeds function similarly to regular seeds but with a twist; if they are hit by any of the mechanics that blow up the regular seeds, they'll explode as well.
However, the challenge with these Corrupted Seeds is that they cannot be dropped for long periods of time. When left unattended, they emit a pulsing area-of-effect damage. But if a player holds onto a Corrupted Seed, they'll become corrupted themselves, gaining stacks of Corruption that last for 30 seconds.
Essentially, this means that using a seed will increase the total number of seeds by 1. The corrupted seeds need to be passed between raid members, almost like a hot potato, to prevent any one player from accumulating too much Corruption.
Seed Numbers Breakdown:
Let's take a look at how the number of seeds changes throughout the encounter cycles:
Cycle | Number of Regular Seeds | Number of Corrupted Seeds |
1 | 4 | 0 |
2 | 3 | 2 |
3 | 2 | 4 |
4 | 1 | 6 |
5 | 0 | 8 |
As you can see, the number of corrupted seeds keeps increasing, putting more pressure on the raid to handle these volatile assets effectively.
Final Thoughts
Mythic Fyrakk is shaping up to be an incredible challenge for Liquid, and the introduction of Corrupted Seeds adds a new layer of complexity to the encounter. It requires precise coordination and careful management of the seeds to minimize the risk of wiping the raid. Good luck to Liquid in their journey to conquer this mythic beast!
