Mythical Tindral Phenomenon Accelerates Flight During Intermission - Linked to Witherrot Grimoire?

A bug has been discovered on Mythic Tindral which causes him to fly faster in the Intermission, likely wiping your raid if it happens.

A Rare Bug Discovered on Mythic Tindral

Today, we are here to shed light on a rare bug that has been discovered in the latest encounter with Mythic Tindral. This bug has been causing Tindral to fly faster during the Intermission, resulting in potential raid wipes as he arrives on the platform a whopping 8 seconds ahead of time. As a consequence, he initiates his Supernova cast much earlier, catching groups off guard and leading to their downfall.

Possible Cause: The Witherrot Tome

Through extensive investigation carried out by Draco and other dedicated members of the Raid Leader Exchange discord, it appears that the culprit behind this bug may be the Witherrot Tome item. It is important to note that this particular embellishment is not frequently crafted and is primarily utilized by a subset of the Elemental Shaman community. As Elemental Shaman is not part of the current meta and is not commonly played this tier, the Witherrot Tome is rarely seen in Mythic raids.

Interestingly, two guilds have reported experiencing the fast flying Tindral issue, and upon further examination, it was discovered that both guilds had Elemental Shamans equipped with the Witherrot Tome. Notably, when one of the guilds made the decision to replace their Elemental Shaman, Tindral returned to his normal speed. Currently, no guild has publicly logged this issue on Warcraft Logs with a Witherrot Tome equipped, leading many to believe that this item might be the root cause.

  • Examining the Spell Data

Delving into the spell data of the Tome-Wrought Rot item, it becomes apparent that Effect #2 is missing a minus sign and the mention of being "Snared." This suggests that the effect could potentially be applied to bosses, which includes Tindral as well. It is hypothesized that there may be a bug where Tindral is meant to be immune to slowing effects, causing him to compensate with a +30% movement speed. Once the effect of the Tome wears off, Tindral quickly zooms ahead, catching players off guard.

We can only hope that Blizzard is aware of this situation and working diligently to address and rectify the bug. While it may be frustrating for raiders to encounter unexpected obstacles such as this, it is important to remember that bugs are a natural part of any complex game and the developers are committed to delivering the best possible experience for all players.

Final Thoughts

As we eagerly await a resolution to the Mythic Tindral bug, it serves as a reminder of the intricacies involved in game development and the ongoing effort to ensure a smooth and enjoyable player experience. With any luck, Blizzard will swiftly address this issue, allowing raiders to once again face Tindral on a level playing field.
