Updated Reward - Mount of the Coralscale Salamanther Amidst the Storm

March 27, 2024 3 minutes

Hey there, WoW enthusiasts! Get ready for some exciting updates in Patch 10.2.6, as we introduce you to a whole new range of meta-achievement mounts. Among these additions is a revamped achievement known as "Into the Storm," which now rewards players with the majestic "Coralscale Salamanther" mount. This achievement has been around since the beginning of Dragonflight and requires players to carry out specific tasks under Elemental Storms, including the daunting task of defeating 200 enemies in each elemental storm across Dragonflight's original zones.

The Essence of Elemental Storms

In Dragonflight, Elemental Storms are akin to Invasions, a popular feature introduced in the Legion expansion of WoW. These Elemental Storms occur every three hours and last for a duration of two hours. The location and type of elemental storm are randomly determined, adding an element of surprise and unpredictability to the gameplay. To get a better understanding of Elemental Storms.

Completing "Into the Storm"

If you wish to conquer the "Into the Storm" achievement, you must successfully complete the following prerequisites:

  • 1. Storm Chaser

For the Storm Chaser achievement, players need to defeat eight unique creatures during storm events in the Dragon Isles. These special creatures spawn at a Storm during the start of an Elemental Storm and at regular intervals of 30 to 50 minutes. Eliminating each of these creatures will help you progress in this achievement.

  • 2. Stormed Off

The Stormed Off achievement requires you to collect a total of 5000 Elemental Overflow. While working on the Storm Chaser achievement, you are likely to amass more than enough Elemental Overflow to meet this requirement. However, if you wish to farm this resource more efficiently, engaging in activities within The Forbidden Reach will reap great rewards.

  • 3. Storming the Runway

If you want to complete the Storming the Runway achievement, you must collect one of the armor sets obtainable from Mythressain Valdrakken. These valuable items cost roughly 3200 units of Elemental Overflow.

The Grueling Trial of Storm Chaser

The most challenging aspect of the "Into the Storm" achievement is the completion of the Storm Chaser task. To accomplish this feat, you must slay 200 enemies empowered by each type of Elemental Storm in every original zone within Dragonflight. As a result, you will need to complete sixteen separate achievements:

  • I. Chasing Storms in The Waking Shores

  1. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Chasing Storms
  2. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Thunderstorms
  3. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Sandstorms
  4. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Firestorms
  5. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Snowstorms

  • II. Chasing Storms in the Ohn'ahran Plains

  1. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Chasing Storms
  2. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Thunderstorms
  3. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Sandstorms
  4. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Firestorms
  5. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Snowstorms

  • III. Chasing Storms in The Azure Span

  1. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Chasing Storms
  2. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Thunderstorms
  3. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Sandstorms
  4. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Firestorms
  5. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Snowstorms

  • IV. Chasing Storms in Thaldraszus

  1. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Chasing Storms
  2. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Thunderstorms
  3. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Sandstorms
  4. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Firestorms
  5. Defeat 200 enemies empowered by Snowstorms

Capturing the (Elemental) Storms

Regrettably, there is no direct method to specifically capture a particular Elemental Storm. Your best option is to keep track of the spawns that occur every three hours.
