What You Should Do Before Dragonflight Season 1 Starts

Dragonflight season 1 is out next reset, so for a lot of us, that means stuff's going to get serious. You can now do some things that will become more difficult or slower once most of the player base moves away and starts spending a lot of their time in instances hidden away from the world. Plus, a few of these things would be nice to have done when you're heading into the season anyway because there are some pretty damn lovely items available if you've got a few spare hours this weekend. Also, the Darkmoon Faire is up until Saturday night. That's always quite useful.

Wrathion or Sabellian Reputation for 389 Necklace and 398 Cloak

The first thing is getting Wrathion and Sabellian to their max rank for the 389 necklaces: Obsidian Collar and 398 cloak: Obsidian Cape that they both sell:

These are both ends of the normal raid item level Spectrum, so you can get some final boss tier loot right now. We recommend doing this before season one because it uniquely gets faster when more people are in the zone.

It is also a reasonable way to make some money. The Mark of Sargha and Sargha's Signet drop from the rares can be traded for 50 reputation, but they also sell for some cases, like two and a half thousand gold on the auction house. That will drop a lot once people don't want that gear anymore. Depending on luck, it could be upwards of 10 hours to max out. For some tips here, be sure to have a tank in your group for huge pools. Steal as many tags as you can. Use Silver Dragon to alert you and have a rare spawn so you can kill them when they pop. Peak times will ensure you get lots and lots of bonus objectives too. Always try to assert dominance in the vault downstairs because that is one of the best places.

Cobalt Assembly for 389 Ring

The second and most straightforward of these objectives is the Cobalt Assembly's reputation. At rank High, it gives you a 389 ring which is a normal raid item level, and at Max rank, it gives you a bunch of Blue flight-looking Cosmetics.

We recommend getting to High this weekend because getting this with a group of five is much easier. It should be done in about two hours. This weekend may be an even better time because finding a free mob to tag at the Dragonflight launch was hard. There should be an excellent player population, as some already have their rings. If you want to stick around for the Cosmetics instead of two hours, you're looking at six hours which is quite a lot, but you will be in the one percent transmog-wise.

The Glory of the Dragonflight Hero - Shellack Lava Mount

Once Mythic pluses are out, the number of people willing to do Mythic zeros will fall off a cliff, which means that it's a great time to get some people together and do Glory of the Dragonflight Hero. These achievements are constantly enjoyable to do with a collaborative group, and you wouldn't want to leave this lava snail Mount waiting, right? It's really cool. In all seriousness, once the season is out, fewer people will be interested, and now is the best time to give it a crack.

Get Prepared for Mythic+ Dungeons and the New Raid

Next, you might want to look at mythic plus and raid guides to score your nerd points. Going in, getting confused, and ending up having a bad experience would suck.
