WoW Token Bug - Don't Panic!

This week, there was a temporary disruption in the gold making community as EU users experienced difficulties converting WoW Tokens into Battlenet balance. This unintended bug caused concern among gold makers, leading to discussions about the potential consequences of permanently removing Battlenet balance from Tokens.

Although the issue has since been resolved, it's worth exploring what a world without Battlenet balance would look like. For many players, the ability to use gold to purchase expansions and other in-game items is a key motivation for their gold making endeavors. Without this option, the desire to invest real money in the game may decrease.

From a buyer's perspective, having the option to spend real money on gold allows for the acquisition of valuable in-game items and services. This creates an incentive for players to make gold and fuels the demand for Tokens. On the other hand, sellers benefit from being able to convert their excess gold into Battlenet balance, which can be used for various purchases.

The economy self-balances the supply and demand for Tokens based on their price. However, any significant changes to this balance can have a substantial impact on Token prices. This was evident when the news of the EU Token issue reached NA servers. Players quickly bought Tokens with gold, causing the price to spike. In contrast, the price in the EU region experienced a decline due to uncertainty. Once the bug was fixed, the Tokens stabilized, but this event demonstrated the direct effects of such news on the market.

Considering the recent Microsoft acquisition and the potential future changes, including the addition of Diablo to Game Pass, players are left wondering what will happen to the WoW Token. Only time will tell.

Waylaid Supplies in Season of Discovery

With the release of Phase 2 in the Season of Discovery, Waylaid Supplies have become highly sought-after for their reputation and experience rewards. The Lazy Goldmaker provides valuable insights on how to profit from them.

Waylaid Supplies not only offer reputation gains but also provide players with additional experience. This makes filling these supplies a wise choice. Blizzard recently changed the mechanics so that supplies must be filled before they can be turned in. Additionally, reaching Revered reputation unlocks a new rune, further increasing the demand for turn-in items.

If you visit The Lazy Goldmaker's post on this topic, you'll find a TSM setup to help optimize your Waylaid Supplies strategy.

TSM Strings and Tips

Reddit user rushnp774 has generously shared some TSM strings that they have found useful for their own gold making operations. These strings can be a valuable resource for streamlining your gold making process.

The user provided an Auctioning operation that helps sell excess BoE gear and recipes. This operation utilizes an IFLT() statement to set a minimum price based on the item's market value. The user recommends caution when using this operation, especially if your gold reserves are low.

Laddered Auctioning Operations offer an efficient way to post lower-end BoEs and crafts. This method involves cloning a base auctioning operation and adjusting the posting time and minimum price. The post provides an example of how to set up different durations for posting items based on quantity.

Another operation shared is the Crafting Operation, which simplifies the crafting process by setting profit percentages based on sale rates and market values. This allows for automated crafting without much thought.

Lastly, the Braindead Shopping Operation offers a useful filtering mechanism for the Auction House. This operation helps eliminate unwanted items based on sale rates, item quality, vendor availability, and item pricing.

All of these operations highlight the versatility and customization options provided by TSM. By understanding the underlying code and operations, players can tailor their gold making strategies to their personal preferences and needs.
