Season of Discovery Phase 2 in WoW Classic is bringing in some exciting new updates with Patch 1.15.1 Build 53009 on the PTR. As data miners, we've been exploring the new content and we're thrilled to share the details of the newly discovered Runes that will be available to players in the next phase. While we won't be providing guides on how to obtain these Runes, we're here to give you a sneak peek of what's to come. So, let's dive into the exciting world of Runes!

Warrior Class Updates

  • Belt Runes

The warrior's belt can now be engraved with various Runes, each offering unique abilities. The Blood Surge Rune gives a 30% chance to instantly cast Slam within 15 seconds after using Heroic Strike, Bloodthirst, or Whirlwind. The Focused Rage Rune reduces the rage cost of offensive abilities by 3. Meanwhile, the Precision Timing Rune makes Slam an instant ability but adds a 6-second cooldown.

  • Boot Runes

The warrior's boots can also be engraved with powerful Runes. The Enraged Regeneration Rune heals the warrior for 30% of their maximum health over 10 seconds, but it can only be used while Enrage, Berserker Rage, or Bloodrage is active and is usable even while stunned. The Intervene Rune allows the warrior to rush towards a party member, intercepting the next melee or ranged attack made against them and reducing their total threat by 10%. Finally, the Rallying Cry Rune grants all party and raid members within 40 yards a 15% increase in maximum health for 10 seconds.

  • Pants Runes

Engraving the warrior's pants with the Commanding Shout Rune allows the warrior to shout, increasing the Stamina of all party members within 30 yards by 2 for 2 minutes. The Bracers can be engraved with the Rampage Rune, which increases attack power by 2% and causes successful melee attacks to further increase attack power by an additional 2%. This effect can stack up to 5 times and lasts for 30 seconds. The Sword and Board Rune refreshes the cooldown of Shield Slam and reduces its Rage cost by 100% for 5 seconds when Devastate or Revenge abilities deal damage. Lastly, the Wrecking Crew Rune enrages the warrior on melee critical hits, increasing all physical damage caused by 10% for 12 seconds. This effect does not stack with Enrage.

  • Helm Runes

The warrior's helm can be engraved with several powerful Runes. The Shield Mastery Rune increases all physical damage dealt by 10% while the warrior has a shield equipped and reduces the duration of Disarm effects used against them by 50%. The Taste for Blood Rune activates the Overpower ability for 9 seconds or 1 attack whenever Rend causes damage. The Vigilance Rune allows the warrior to focus their protective gaze on a party or raid member, reducing their damage taken by 3% and transferring 10% of the threat they cause to the warrior. Additionally, every time the target is hit by an attack, the Taunt cooldown is refreshed. This effect lasts for 30 minutes and can only be active on one target at a time.

Paladin Class Updates

  • Belt Runes

The paladin's belt can now be engraved with powerful Runes to enhance their abilities. The Enlightened Judgements Rune increases the range of Judgement by 30 yards and improves spell hit with all spells by 17%. The Infusion of Light Rune increases the damage done by Holy Shock by 20% and resets the cooldowns of Holy Shock and Exorcism on critical strikes with Holy Shock, refunding its cost. The Sheath of Light Rune increases spell power by 30% of attack power for 1 minute when dealing damage with a melee weapon, and critical healing spells heal the target for 60% of the healed amount over 12 seconds.

  • Boot Runes

The paladin's boots can be engraved with Runes that offer additional capabilities. The Guarded by the Light Rune grants the paladin mana regeneration per hit with a melee weapon for 15 seconds, but reduces the healing amount of Flash of Light, Holy Light, and Holy Shock spells during this period. The Sacred Shield Rune provides a shield to the target that absorbs damage and increases the paladin's chance to critically hit with Flash of Light on the target for 6 seconds. Flash of Light also heals targets with Sacred Shield for an additional amount over 12 seconds. The Art of War Rune resets the cooldowns of Holy Shock and Exorcism on melee critical strikes.

  • Bracers Runes

The paladin's bracers can be engraved with potent Runes that enhance their abilities. The Hammer of Wrath Rune resets the cooldown of Hammer of Wrath each time it damages an enemy below 10% health. The Purifying Power Rune reduces the cooldown of Exorcism and Holy Wrath by 50% and allows Holy Wrath to be cast on any target, stunning Undead and Demon targets for 2 seconds. The improved Sanctuary Rune increases the damage prevented by Blessing of Sanctuary by 100% and increases the damage done by Blessing of Sanctuary by 30% of the paladin's shield block value.

  • Helm Runes

Engraving the paladin's helm with various Runes offers additional advantages in combat. The Fanaticism Rune increases critical strike chance with Holy spells by 18%. The Improved Sanctuary Rune increases the damage prevented by Blessing of Sanctuary by 100% and increases the damage done by Blessing of Sanctuary by 30% of the paladin's shield block value. The Light's Grace Rune reduces the cast time of the paladin's Holy Light spell by 0.5 seconds for the next Holy Light spell within 15 seconds. The Wrath Rune adds critical strike chance to Consecration, Exorcism, Holy Shock, Holy Wrath, and Consecration spells equal to the paladin's melee critical strike chance.

Hunter Class Updates

  • Belt Runes

Hunters can now engrave their belts with Runes that enhance their abilities. The Aspect of the Viper Rune allows ranged and melee auto attacks to regenerate mana but reduces total damage done by 10%. The Expose Weakness Rune increases attack power by 40% of current agility for 7 seconds on melee and ranged critical strikes. The Melee Specialist Rune reduces the cooldown of Raptor Strike to 3 seconds and makes it instant. It also removes the cooldown on Mongoose Bite and gives Raptor Strike a 30% chance not to trigger its cooldown.

  • Boot Runes

The hunter's boots can be engraved with powerful Runes that bring additional benefits. The Dual Wield Specialization Rune increases damage done by the offhand weapon by 50%, causes Raptor Strike to strike with both weapons when dual-wielding, and increases Raptor Strike damage by 30% when two weapons of the same type are wielded. The Invigoration Rune instantly regenerates 5% of maximum mana each time the wild pet scores a critical hit with a special ability. The Trap Launcher Rune allows traps to be placed at any location within 40 yards, even in combat, and has separate shared cooldowns for Fire-based and Frost-based traps.

  • Bracers Runes

Engraving the hunter's bracers with powerful Runes brings additional advantages. The Focus Fire Rune consumes Frenzy applications from the pet, increasing ranged attack speed by 3% and granting 4 Focus to the pet for each Frenzy consumed. This effect lasts for 20 seconds. The T.N.T. Rune increases the damage done by Explosive Shot and all damaging traps by 10%.

Rogue Class Updates

  • Belt Runes

Rogues can now enhance their belt with Runes that bring additional abilities. The Poisoned Knife Rune instantly throws the off-hand weapon to deal off-hand weapon damage with a 100% chance to apply the poison from the off-hand weapon to the target, granting 1 combo point. The Shadowstep Rune attempts to step through the shadows and reappear behind the enemy, increasing movement speed by 70% for 3 seconds. The Shuriken Toss Rune throws a shuriken at the enemy, dealing damage equal to 25% of attack power and striking up to 4 additional nearby targets, granting 1 combo point.

  • Boot Runes

Rogues have the option to engrave their boots with Runes that provide additional benefits. The Master of Subtlety Rune increases damage by 10% for attacks made while stealthed and 6 seconds after breaking stealth. The Waylay Rune unbalances the target hit by Ambush or Backstab, increasing the time between their melee attacks by 10% and reducing movement speed by 50% for 8 seconds.

  • Helm Runes

The rogue's helm can be engraved with powerful Runes to enhance their abilities. The Combat Potency Rune grants a 20% chance to gain 15 Energy every time melee damage is dealt with the off-hand weapon. The Focused Attacks Rune grants 2 Energy every time a melee or ranged critical strike is achieved. The Honor Among Thieves Rune awards a combo point on the current target each time any player in the party critically hits with a spell or ability. This effect cannot occur more than once every second.

Priest Class Updates

  • Belt Runes

The priest's belt can be engraved with valuable Runes to enhance their abilities. The Empowered Renew Rune causes an immediate heal when Renew is applied, and the heal from Renew gains 15% increased benefit for each time it heals from bonus healing effects. Additionally, Renew can now be active on targets affected by another priest's Renew. The Mind Spike Rune blasts the target with Shadowfrost damage and increases the critical strike chance of the next Mind Blast on the target by 30%, stacking up to 3 times. The Renewed Hope Rune increases the critical effect chance of Flash Heal, Lesser Heal, Heal, Greater Heal, and Penance by 10% when cast on targets with Weakened Soul.

  • Boot Runes

The priest's boots can be engraved with Runes that grant additional capabilities. The Dispersion Rune turns the priest into pure Shadow energy, reducing all damage taken by 90% and granting mana regeneration over 6 seconds. During this period, the priest is unable to attack or cast spells but regenerates 6% mana every 1 second. Dispersion can be cast while stunned, feared, or silenced, and it clears all snare and movement impairing effects when cast. The Pain Suppression Rune instantly reduces all damage taken by a friendly target by 40% and increases resistance to Dispel mechanics by 65% for 8 seconds.

  • Bracers Runes

The priest's bracers can be engraved with potent Runes to enhance their abilities. The Despair Rune allows periodic damage from spells to be critical strikes. The Surge of Light Rune makes the next Smite, Flash Heal, or Binding Heal cast within 15 seconds instant after critical spell casts. The Void Zone Rune summons a void zone that deals Shadow damage to enemies within it every second for 10 seconds.

Shaman Class Updates

  • Belt Runes

Shamans can now engrave their belts with Runes that enhance their abilities. The Fire Nova Rune replaces the Fire Nova Totem spell with Fire Nova. The Maelstrom Weapon Rune has a chance to reduce the cast time of Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, Lesser Healing Wave, Healing Wave, Chain Heal, or Lava Burst spells by 20% when dealing melee damage. The Power Surge Rune has a 5% chance to reset the cooldown on Lava Burst and Chain Lightning and make the next Lava Burst, Chain Heal, or Chain Lightning instant after Flame Shock deals damage.

  • Boot Runes

The Shaman's boots can be engraved with powerful Runes that enhance their abilities. The Ancestral Awakening Rune summons an ancestral spirit to heal the lowest percentage health party member within 40 yards for 30% of the amount healed every 2 seconds when critically healing with Healing Wave or Lesser Healing Wave. The Decoy Totem Rune summons a Decoy Totem that redirects the next melee or ranged attack made against the target to the totem instead and grants immunity to movement impairing effects for 10 seconds. The Spirit of the Alpha Rune infuses the target with the spirit of an alpha wolf, increasing their threat generation by 45% for 30 minutes.

  • Bracers Runes

The Shaman's bracers can be engraved with potent Runes that enhance their abilities. The Fire Nova Rune allows Fire-based totems to emit damage at their location. The Demon Knowledge Rune increases spell damage and healing by an amount equal to 10% of the demon pet's total Stamina plus Intellect.

Mage Class Updates

  • Belt Runes

Mages can now enchant their belts with Runes that bring additional abilities. The Frostfire Bolt Rune launches a bolt of Frostfire at the enemy, causing damage and slowing movement speed by 40% for 9 seconds. The Hot Streak Rune makes the next Pyroblast spell cast within 10 seconds instant after scoring 2 non-periodic spell criticals in a row with Fireball, Fire Blast, Scorch, or Living Bomb. The Missile Barrage Rune reduces the channeling duration of Arcane Missiles by 50% and reduces the mana cost by 100% when Arcane Blast, Fireball, or Frostbolt spells have a chance to trigger this effect.

  • Boot Runes

Engraving the mage's boots with powerful Runes brings additional advantages in combat. The Brain Freeze Rune grants a 15% chance for Frost damage spells with chilling effects to instantly cast Fireball, Spellfrost Bolt, or Frostfire Bolt spells without consuming mana. The Chronostatic Preservation Rune launches an orb of temporal energy every 2 seconds, granting all nearby party members a shield that absorbs damage for 15 seconds.

  • Bracers Runes

The mage's bracers can be engraved with potent Runes that enhance their abilities. The Balefire Bolt Rune unleashes a burst of raw magic at the enemy, causing damage. Each cast of Balefire Bolt increases the damage of the next Balefire Bolt within 30 seconds for even greater impact. The Displacement Rune teleports the mage back to their previous Blink location and resets the cooldown on Blink. The Molten Armor Rune causes Fire damage when hit, increases spell critical strike chance by 5%, and reduces the chance of being critically hit by 5%.

Warlock Class Updates

  • Belt Runes

Warlocks can now engrave their belts with powerful Runes to enhance their abilities. The Grimoire of Synergy Rune increases the damage done by the warlock or their summoned demon by 5%, with a chance for the damage done by one to increase the damage done by the other by 5%. The Invocation Rune refreshes various damage spells, including Corruption, Immolate, Curse of Agony, or Siphon Life when their duration is below 6 seconds, dealing instant damage to the target. The Shadow and Flame Rune increases the warlock's fire and shadow spell damage done by 10% for 10 seconds on critical strikes.

  • Boot Runes

Warlocks have the option to engrave their boots with Runes that provide additional benefits. The Dance of the Wicked Rune grants dodge chance equal to spell critical strike chance each time a critical strike is achieved on an enemy, and also regenerates a percentage of maximum mana. The Demonic Knowledge Rune increases spell damage and healing by an amount equal to 10% of the demon pet's total Stamina plus Intellect. The Shadowflame Rune deals Shadow damage to targets within a cone in front of the caster and adds additional Fire damage over 8 seconds. This effect can be consumed with Conflagrate.

  • Bracers Runes

Engraving the warlock's bracers with powerful Runes enhances their abilities. The Immolation Aura Rune burns nearby enemies and reduces all magic damage taken by 10%. The Summon Felguard Rune summons a Felguard to aid the warlock in battle, benefiting from all talents and effects that influence any other Demon minions. The Unstable Affliction Rune causes damage over time and silences the dispeller for 5 seconds if dispelled. Additionally, it deals damage to the dispeller. Only one Unstable Affliction or Immolate per warlock can be active on the same target.

Druid Class Updates

  • Belt Runes

Druids can now enhance their belts with Runes that bring additional abilities. The Berserk Rune, when activated, allows Mangle (Bear) to hit up to 3 targets with no cooldown and reduces the energy cost of all Cat Form abilities by 50%. This effect lasts for 15 seconds and requires Bear Form, Cat Form, or Dire Bear Form to activate. It also clears the effect of Fear, making the druid immune to Fear for the duration. The Eclipse Rune empowers Starfire to increase the critical strike chance of the next two Wraths by 30%, and Wrath increases the critical strike chance of the next Starfire by 30%. Both effects stack up to 4 charges. Additionally, both spells have a 70% chance to not lose casting time when taking damage.

  • Boot Runes

The druid's boots can be engraved with powerful Runes that bring additional benefits. The Dreamstate Rune grants 50% of mana regeneration while casting for 8 seconds after damaging spell critical strikes. It also increases Nature damage dealt to the target by 20% for 12 seconds. The King of the Jungle Rune increases all physical damage dealt by 15% instead of a flat value, grants 60 Energy instantly, and has its own 30-second cooldown. Additionally, the Survival Instincts Rune grants 30% of maximum health for 20 seconds and converts active resources into health every second during this period. The conversion rates are as follows: up to 10 Rage, 10 Energy, or 1% of maximum Mana into up to 10% health. The druid also gains additional resources upon dodging attacks while in Bear Form or Dire Bear Form and parrying while in Bear Form or Dire Bear Form.

  • Bracers Runes

Engraving the druid's bracers with potent Runes enhances their abilities. The Efflorescence Rune causes Swiftmend to create Efflorescence, healing all party members within 15 yards of the Swiftmend target's location every 2 seconds for 30 seconds. The Improved Frenzied Regeneration Rune allows Frenzied Regeneration to be used in all forms or while not shapeshifted. It converts active resources into health every second for 10 seconds. Up to 10 Rage, 10 Energy, or 5% base Mana is converted into up to 10% health. The Gale Winds Rune increases Hurricane damage by 100%, removes its cooldown, and reduces its mana cost by 20%. The Gore Rune has a chance to reset the cooldown on Mangle (Bear) when striking a target with Lacerate, Swipe, or Maul. It also has a chance to reset the cooldown on Tiger's Fury when striking a target with Mangle (Cat) or Shred.
