Blizzard has recently implemented some exciting changes as part of the Class Tuning update in WoW Classic: Season of Discovery. These adjustments aim to improve gameplay balance and enhance the overall gaming experience for players. Let's take a closer look at some of the significant changes that have been made.

High-Yield Radiation Bomb Adjustments

One of the major changes is the adjustment made to the High-Yield Radiation Bomb spell. Previously, the slow effect of the bomb could not be removed with snare removal effects. However, with the recent update, players can now remove the slow effect using these effects. Additionally, the damage-over-time of the bomb has been corrected and is now correctly categorized as Nature damage and a Poison effect, as opposed to being classified as Magical damage.

Another improvement to the High-Yield Radiation Bomb is that its initial damage will now work on enemies that are typically immune to slows. Furthermore, the initial damage of the bomb will always go off when it hits the target, ensuring its effectiveness in combat.

On the other hand, Blizzard has also made adjustments to the armor values of specific mechanical bosses in Gnomeregan. These armor reductions are designed to provide players with a more challenging gameplay experience. Crowd Pummeler 9-60 and Mekingeer Thermaplugg will now receive up to 10% more physical damage, depending on the modifiers present.

  • Druid Changes

Druids have also received some exciting buffs and adjustments. The mana cost of Lifebloom has been reduced by 50%, making it more efficient for Druids to maintain this essential healing over time spell. Additionally, the Lifebloom spell now refunds half of its new base mana cost per stack when it expires or is dispelled, allowing Druids to effectively manage their mana resources.

Living Seed, another Druid spell, has also been improved. It now heals for 50% of the critical heal that planted the seed, compared to the previous 30%. This heal now blooms from non-periodic healing received, in addition to any damage taken. Nourish, a healing spell, has also had its mana cost reduced by 27%, enabling Druids to heal more efficiently.

Moonkin Form, typically associated with damage-dealing, has received some beneficial changes for Druids. Moonkin Form now reduces the mana cost of Moonfire by 50% and increases the periodic damage of Moonfire by 50%. These changes also apply to Sunfire. Additionally, Moonkins can now cast non-healing Restoration spells without canceling their shapeshift, allowing for more flexibility in combat. Spells such as Remove Curse, Remove Poison, Abolish Poison, Innervate, Rebirth, Revive, Mark of the Wild, and Gift of the Wild can now be cast without disrupting the Moonkin Form.

Another significant improvement for Druids is the enhancement of the Fury of Stormrage ability. When this rune makes Healing Touch instant, it now also allows Druids to cast it in all shapeshift forms, further increasing their versatility in combat. The critical strikes of Lacerate can now trigger Primal Fury, providing Druids with additional benefits in battles. Lastly, Nourish is now instant cast when Fury of Stormrage is active, and casting an instant version of the spell will no longer break Moonkin form.

  • Hunter Adjustments

Hunters have also received some adjustments to ensure better gameplay balance. The Dual Wield Specialization no longer grants a 30% damage bonus to Raptor Strike when wielding two weapons of the same type. This change aims to promote a more diverse playstyle for Hunters, encouraging them to experiment with different weapon combinations.

  • Mage Changes

For Mages, the Chronostatic Preservation spell has undergone some modifications as well. Previously, it checked for a target within range or line of sight on the first cast. However, the first part of the ability now has an unlimited range, as stated in the tooltip. The unleashed heal, however, still has a range of 40 yards, which remains unchanged. These adjustments ensure that the spell functions as intended, providing Mages with a reliable healing ability.

  • Paladin Updates

Paladins have also received some impactful changes with the Class Tuning update. Crusader Strike, a crucial Paladin ability, now deals Holy damage instead of Physical damage. This adjustment allows Crusader Strike to ignore armor and be affected by Holy damage prevention. Despite this change, Crusader Strike is still considered a melee attack, as opposed to a spell.

Another significant modification for Paladins is related to the Seal of Martyrdom spell. It can no longer trigger Art of War, and it will no longer be triggered by Frost Oil or other weapon procs. These adjustments ensure better gameplay balance and prevent unintended interactions.

  • Rogue Tweaks

Rogues have also received some tweaks to enhance their gameplay experience. The Redirect ability no longer triggers or is affected by the global cooldown, allowing Rogues to execute it more efficiently. Additionally, the cooldown of Redirect has been reduced to 10 seconds, giving Rogues more strategic opportunities to utilize this ability.

Main Gauche, a Rogue ability, has also undergone some changes. It now generates 3 combo points on the target and has had its base Energy cost reduced to 15. These adjustments improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Rogue gameplay.

Furthermore, the Just a Flesh Wound ability has received a threat bonus, ensuring that Rogue tanks generate approximately 30% more threat. These changes help enhance the role of Rogues as tanks in group content.

  • Shaman Enhancements

Shamans have also received improvements and adjustments to their abilities. The Two-Handed Mastery rune now provides a 10% increased Attack Power and a 10% increased chance to hit with spells after hitting a target with a two-handed weapon. These enhancements further strengthen the potency of Shamans in combat.

Shamanistic Rage, a Shaman ability, has been modified to grant 5% of the Shaman's maximum mana per second, instead of scaling from Attack Power, Spell Power, or Healing Power. This change ensures better resource management for Shamans, giving them a more balanced gameplay experience.

Another significant change is related to the Spirit of the Alpha rune. Casting this spell on a target other than oneself now grants the casting Shaman a 20% increased Attack Power. This adjustment allows Shamans to play more dynamically and support their allies effectively.

The Earth Shield spell has also undergone some improvements. Its mana cost has been reduced by 67%, and the charges have been increased from 3 to 9. Additionally, the base amount healed now properly scales with the Shaman's level and is approximately 50% higher compared to the previous value at level 40.

Power Surge, a rune for Shamans, has had its tooltip revised to clarify its functionality. This rune periodically grants mana every 5 seconds, equal to 15% of the Shaman's intellect. Some timing issues that could result in the rune providing less mana than intended have also been resolved, ensuring a fair and consistent gameplay experience.

Furthermore, the cooldown of Ancestral Guidance, a Shaman ability that enhances healing, has been reduced to 1 minute from the previous 2 minutes. This change allows Shamans to utilize this powerful ability more frequently, providing crucial support to their allies.

  • Warrior Changes

Warriors have also received some important adjustments with the latest update. Rallying Cry, a Warrior ability that provides a raid-wide defensive buff, now correctly benefits the Warrior's entire raid, as opposed to only their party.
