What's New in WoW Season of Discovery Phase 2?

  • New Level Cap to 40

Season of Discovery Phase 2 elevates the gameplay experience with a new level cap set at 40. This update invites players to scale new heights and unlock more potent abilities and gear.

  • Gnomeregan Raid: A New 10-Man Challenge

Gnomeregan has evolved from a conventional dungeon into a captivating level-up Raid in World of Warcraft Classic's Season of Discovery. This section will equip you with the necessary details for gathering your raid team and navigating the more challenging Gnomeregan.

Gnomeregan, nestled in Dun Morogh, was once a hub of gnome ingenuity but has since succumbed to a tragic fate following a trogg invasion. Attempts to repel these invaders led to widespread radiation, devastating the city and its people. Those who survived the catastrophe were irrevocably changed.

Essential Information on Gnomeregan Level-Up Raid:

- Tailored as top-tier content for each level band in the Season of Discovery, with Phase 2's level cap at 40.

- Raiders must be at Level 40 to enter.

- Designed for a team of 10 players.

- Located in Dun Morogh.

- Features six unique bosses.

- The raid will initially follow a standard 7-day lockout, transitioning to a 3-day lockout pattern, mirroring the structure in Zul'Gurub and Phase 1's Blackfathom Deeps.

Boss Lineup in Gnomeregan Level-Up Raid:

The full roster of bosses in Gnomeregan is being gradually revealed. Including five revamped familiar bosses with new strategies and environments, and one entirely new boss. Known bosses are Grubbis, with new radiation mechanics; Crowd-Pummeler 9-60, now accompanied by a crowd; and Mekgineer Thermaplugg, equipped with innovative mech-suits.

World Buff Mechanics:

Details on triggering Gnomeregan's new World Buff are still unknown, though it's likely similar to Blackfathom Deeps' buff system. Defeating the final boss, Mekgineer Thermaplugg, may provide an item for the World Buff. The speculated Spark of Inspiration buff could enhance spell critical strike chance by 4%, add 42 to spell damage and healing, and increase melee, ranged attacks, and movement speed by 20% for 120 minutes. Note that the Blackfathom Deeps World Buff will be inactive at level 40, hence not applicable in Gnomeregan.

Players can now explore different class roles and combinations with the introduction of new class runes. These runes allow for enhanced customization and strategic gameplay, opening up new possibilities within the World of Warcraft universe.
