Blizzard Requests Feedback on Adjustments to STV Layers for Season of Discovery

February 24, 2024 3 minutes

Greetings, adventurers!

Today, we have some exciting news for all World of Warcraft Classic players. The highly anticipated Blood Moon Event in Stranglethorn Vale has received some adjustments and fixes to address a few issues that were affecting group cohesion during the event. Our team at WowCarry has been closely monitoring player feedback, and we are pleased to share that these changes should now provide a more seamless experience for everyone participating in the Blood Moon Event.

Keeping Groups Together

One of the key adjustments implemented pertains to keeping groups together during the event. We understand the frustration players experienced when their group members ended up on different layers. With the recent updates, groups should now be more reliably placed on the same layer, ensuring that you can enjoy the event alongside your friends and allies.

  • Stranglethorn Vale Layering

It's important to note that if your layer is completely full, new players joining your group may not be able to move to your layer even after being invited. This was done intentionally to prevent performance issues caused by an overcrowded layer. To avoid any inconvenience, we recommend grouping up with your friends and moving into Stranglethorn Vale together before the event begins, especially if you anticipate high player traffic in your layer's Stranglethorn Vale zone.

We understand that this might be an additional step to take, but rest assured, our team has been working tirelessly to enhance the overall experience and ensure that you can fully enjoy the Blood Moon Event without any hindrances. We greatly appreciate your patience and cooperation as we continue to fine-tune the layering system in Stranglethorn Vale.

Your Feedback is Valued

We value your feedback immensely, as it helps us pinpoint specific issues and make further improvements. When providing feedback regarding the Blood Moon Event, we kindly request that you be as detailed and specific as possible. This will aid our development team in analyzing the problems more effectively and implementing targeted solutions.

If you encountered any issues during the event, please consider including the following information:

  1. A detailed description of the behavior or experience you encountered.
  2. The individuals impacted by the behavior.
  3. The specific location of the affected players.
  4. The date and time (server time) at which the issue occurred.
  5. The realm you are playing on.

By providing experiential feedback with a high level of detail, we can ensure that our adjustments continue to enhance the Blood Moon Event for everyone. While we understand that frustrations may arise in the moment, simply stating vague statements such as "there was lag" or "my party couldn't stay together" won't provide us with enough information to address the problem effectively.

To illustrate how to report issues effectively, here are a couple of examples:

  • "I was in a group of 4 adventurers in Booty Bay, and we invited a 5th member to join our group at approximately 3:14 PM server time on Crusader Strike. However, the new member was unable to join our layer."
  • "While engaging in combat near the Gurubashi Arena at approximately 6:20 PM server time on Living Flame, I experienced input lag with my abilities taking 1-2 seconds to activate. There were around 50 other players within close proximity to my location."

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with valuable feedback. Your input is instrumental in our continued efforts to improve the overall World of Warcraft Classic experience. The developers at WowCarry are dedicated to delivering an unforgettable journey in Azeroth, and we appreciate your support and patience.

Final Thoughts

The Blood Moon Event in Stranglethorn Vale is an integral part of the World of Warcraft Classic experience. With the recent adjustments and fixes, we hope that you can fully immerse yourself in the excitement and adventure it offers. If you encounter any issues during the event, please remember to provide detailed feedback to help us address the problem more effectively.

Thank you once again for your continued support and enthusiasm. The WoW Classic Dev Team looks forward to hearing from you and wishes you an incredible Blood Moon Event in Stranglethorn Vale!
