Blizzard has announced that the stand-alone Authenticator app will be removed, and players are encouraged to migrate their account security to the newer Battle.net mobile app. Players who switch to the new app by January 5th will be able to continue using it to authenticate their account logins, and they will also receive bonus rewards in the form of a pet and extra bag slots in World of Warcraft.
